I know that feeling all too well. Can't deal with heat at all.

In other news, I may be boned for a gig on Friday. Supposed to be heading to Mayhem in the Academy, but then accommodation was too expensive so I figured I'd just get the last bus (11pm) back to Longford (gig's over at 10:30ish). If the bus strike is still on that's not going to be an option, and to cap it off the trains are taking a vote on if they should strike too in solidarity, which would leave me with no way to get up to the capital in the first place.

Yeah, thing with bands like Mayhem is in less populated areas like Longford, it's harder to find people heading to shows. I can count on one hand the number of times I've been to shows with people from around where I live.

That would be amazing!

Yeah, the bus strike is annoying, but I fully understand why the drivers are doing it. Someone I know had a suggestion to deal with the pay dispute: Drivers take a pay cut, but just work more hours to make up the difference. I wish I could say they were joking.

Yeah i fully understand the strike, the extra spend on taxis for work is something i'm ok with doing, just certain predicaments like yours do irritate a bit. I hope that the 'someone you know' isn't someone you have to listen to often.
