What have Astana achieved today and what are they hoping to achieve? The entire Sky team has sat in Astana's slipstream all day and they're still there with them coming towards the final ascent. Rui Costa might hang on but can't see past Froome again today, he's had an armchair ride courtesy of Astana.

It seems teams are criticised for not doing anything when Sky are dictating the pace till the dull inevitable climax; and if a team tries to by contrast do something, which can hardly amount to much more than go to try to set a pace of their own, that gets criticised also. Froome has had an armchair ride courtesy of Astana - what does that mean? Would it have been a different kind of armchair if Sky were instead at the front?
Astana are presumably setting a hard tempo to ask questions of everyone, and see what happens by the end of the day.

Didn't see Froome switch his own power meter when he swapped bikes. He probably doesn't even know how to cycle without it! :)

    What?

He is using the bikes power meter/compute. He'll still be able to look at his stem for the next 8kms

Yeah he is up near the front of the lead group. He's wearing a black gilet so hard to recognise him.
