A nice "early" card for us. God bless the eastern time zone! :pac:

    Shevchenko via KO/TKO
Should be a cracking main event. I have Holm by decision but it won't be easy for her. I hope Giblert and Herrig both get the heads kicked off them

Looking forward to seeing Ngannou again, that lad's an animal.

    Think Shevchenko might take this

Yeah. I am leaning towards holm ( by decision). Schevchenko is no joke though. She is a future title challenger, no doubt. Cant stand Feice Herig, hope she gets smashed. Will see.

I think the main event will be abit of a snoozefest to be honest. Can see Holm keeping her distance well and landing shots at range. Shevchenko has quite a low output. Would love to see her down a round or two and coming out to finish the fight.

Theres very little interest in this event. Venue looks like its only about 1/2 sold. They'll probably upgrade the whole upper tier to better seats and close the top tier to make it looks like like its well enough attended otherwise its going to look ridiculous on tv

Whos this Shevchenko, never heard of her till now.
    Therefore Shevchenko ftw

Close enough decison defeat to Nunes at 196. Do you remember about month ago a fighters coach got shot in a cafe in South America? That's her, she was there at the time with her coach.

    She's a former
Muay Thai world champion. Has a much more extensive and impressive kickboxing record than Holm.
This fight is a boxer who can throw some kicks verses the kickboxer.

Shevchenko is definitely the value at 3/1, my only reservation is that Holm is a big 135er, and Shevchenko was based at closer 125* for most of her career I think.

    * Shevchenko repeatedly fought Joanna Jędrzejczyk at 125lbs. Beating her 3 years in a row at the world championships. ('06, '07, '08)

Poor Joe Silva stuck in between Luis Henrique and Dmitry Smoliakov having a shoving match at the weigh-ins :pac:

Bojan Mihajlovic looks like he could easily drop to light-heavy

Holm looked ripped at the weigh-ins.
Shevchenko weighed-in in at 133 and didn't look like it was much effort to get there. Technically she's probably as good as Holm, but I've a feeling she belongs at 125lbs

Knight has to be a big underdog here but I'd love to see him submit Alers.

    Great fight. Great great fight.

29-28 to knight by my reckoning.

Were it not for the quality of the fight, Jim Alers could have been heading back to Cage Warriors I reckon!!

That fight will get him one more at least.

the takedowns. I thought it would be a split as not all judges score them the same and Knight took control on the ground quickly and wasnt taking damage there

Is UFC Unfiltered worth the listen lads? Kinda had my doubts about it as I think they'll be too busy towing the party line without any real outside criticism.

I do like Matt Serra though.

The smart money is on Moontasri to get knocked de fudge out in round 1 here.

Why is rogan doing a fox card?

They usually do the "big FOX" cards. I think it's a ploy for casual fans to keep coming back because it's who they associate UFC commentary with.

Anik/Stann/Florian don't have the same appeal to a wider audience. Especially if that audience is made up casual fans who may not enjoy change etc.

The UFC may need a dental plan with all the mouthpieces that are going flying tonight.

Is there an element of punishment putting Holm on this card I wonder?

Going from taking rousey out in spectacular fashion on a ppv to a fight night card in such a short time. Just thinking out loud.

I'm delighted Big John took a point there. More refs need to be more liberal with taking points for fence grabs.
