I think anyone over about 16 playing it should be locked up.

I'm wanting to give it a shot. Doubt my phone can run it though. Still, it's a knacky idea and looks rather entertaining.

When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things.

Unless you used an apk, then it was here 10 days ago :)

But yeah op, it's been released now in Ireland. Wouldn't bother for a while though, the servers are being hammered

I was out yesterday evening in a busy area and saw a large group of random people converge on a single spot, then all start laughing. All of them with their phones out, so I assume it was PG.

Anything that brings strangers together and makes them laugh is ok by me :)

Don't think it's my thing though.

I prefer to hang out with women and I abandoned such childish things and video games when I discovered girls back around when I was 13.

What is this Pokemon Go? I see it pop up on my twitter feed but have no idea what it is. Cba googling it either

You should never stop enjoying playing imo. You can be as adult as you like, but it's nice to have a little child like fun too.

Doesn't make you less of an adult.

As an adult, the only thing that you should be stoking is the boiler on a ****ing steam engine.

I'm sorry but I'm too much of a MAN to partake in this silly children's game.

I have MAN THINGS to do like eating a steak, sexing the women and playing sports

Um, sports don't count as childish because of reasons. I AM A GROWN MAN CHASING A BALL AROUND A FIELD.

If I had the time I'd be playing it :o Downloaded the .apk but haven't really played it at all.

    Being an adult sucks :(

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

I assume those of you saying it's too childish for adults to play have also never seen a superhero film or eaten anything sweet recently.

Live and let live: we all need to have a release and indulge our inner child a little.
And imagine if Pokémon GO were, shock horror, enjoyable to play for adults or children, regardless of the Pokémon trappings.

But I'm a MAAAAN :D a lad I know put a post up on Facebook saying every man that plays this game should hand in their man card.......same guy does nothing but take pictures of himself, his hair, his dinner etc.

haha its great craic, particularly if you grew up in the 90's with the cards and the games.

Ah would you stop. It encourages players to get out, exercise and interact with other people. Absolutely nothing wrong with any game that encourages exercise.

Perhaps you've prioritised how you've grown up incorrectly.

It doesn't mean never having fun.

It does mean using proper capitalisation and knowing how to spell.

Yeah, let's all ridicule people taking part in a harmless and enjoyable activity involving exercise and social rapport.

Fair enough if it's not your thing but if you're judging and mocking those who like it then you're the one who needs to grow up.

if you are a grown man or woman and you play this game, you are an embarrassment, how soft and easily led are we going to get?

You are an embarrassment because you fail to hold the same world view as the other poster...

    How dare you!

    :)

Because it's harder to look down your nose at people if you don't accuse them of these things. It's basic HighHorse 101, and can be found in any HighHorse manual.

I do think it's a bit shít that the Pokemon can be on private property. Sure it's exciting to find them in your house if you are playing it yourself. But I have heard complaints from people who are already driven mad by groups of kids and teenagers running around in their garden trying to catch them. It's also stupid to have them show up at dangerous and inappropriate places. People, especially kids, can get too caught up in the game and forget about common sense. It would have been better if a bit more effort was applied creating the points where the Pokemon can appear and restricting them to parks and other appropriate public spaces.

You're adulting wrong. Toys are great fun. I have a great collection of Imaginext toys and playing with them is awesome. Sure they're officially my 3 year old's, but it's not him who's out there hunting out all the rare sets and figures.

What are the last three films you've seen at the cinema, out of curiosity?
