Java certified developer exam

I know that Oracle have taken over Java (very unfortunate...) and there used to be a developer certification (SCJD) where you could pay a fee, download the assignment, submit it and get your certification. However I can't find the equivalent Oracle certification now. Does anyone know if there is still some sort of java developer exam from Oracle?

The Oracle version is the Java SE Programmer I and II certifications (OCAJP & OCPJP). To get these you have to take an exam for each at an exam center. And you have to take the first one before you can take the second one, so even if you have a lot of experience you still need to sit the Programmer I exam.

If you already have a cert i.e. the SCJP I think there is an upgrade exam you can take but I don't know too much about that.
