Well, Skid suggested one big thread for this year's series of Stay There! - and I agreed.

After all, change is good sometimes. :o:o:D:);)

As Brian T has already pointed out on the "Where's All The Talk Shows?" thread, the line-up for the first episode of the series features Philomena Begley, Una O'Hagan, and some Irish Euro 2016 fans. Because, as Miriam says, Irish viewers prefer to see Irish guests. ;)

(Well, I did say change is good... :o:o:D;))

Do you agree with Miriam that Irish viewers prefer to see Irish guests? 12 votes

They've tweaked the title sequence, changed the theme tune and given Mir a microphone, I notice.

What was that thing I said about change again...? :o:D;)

River Liffey, River Liffey, Anna Livia

It's a rip off of Dustin's Burger Burger, Burger, Arkla Arkla, Arkla, Co. Wickla, Wickla, Wickla (which was a rip off of Born Slippy)

The Riverdance people should just let it go now. They've squeezed enough money out of it as they can.

This dancing thing didn't catch on in 1994, it sure ain't gonna catch on now.

It was better in '94, though.

    This feels... watered down. :o:o

    River dance...ugh.

It's just so...like, what is it? Irish dancing? Fine.

But what's the stupid celtic river stuff? It's not art, I can yell you that.

They should've got one of the Liveline caller cranks to challenge Davy about de flag etiquette.

If Paul McGrath is in the house, why is she talking to people who go to watch football?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 74,322 ✭✭✭✭Welsh Megaman

Did Miriam get those chairs from the RTE reception waiting area?

If you meet anyone who was at Euro 2016, do make an effort to tell them the Iceland fans are the best in the World, just to annoy them!

(Or Wales, or Northern Ireland, or Belgium, or any other country)

Aye, it's been a great Euro tournament :)

I'll go for a France win tomorrow, 2-0.

Do u think the tapping sound is coming from the dancers feet, it looked like it was not real, the dancing was great tho

I was going to start a thread, until I saw the guest list.

Fans. Football fans. The real winners of Euro 2016.

I have food poisoning today. It's horrible and awful. Feeling miserable all day...but this sh*t makes me puke.

(Not the fans themselves, love them.)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 49,731 ✭✭✭✭coolhull

You'd kinda know they're not Millwall supporters, wouldn't you? Is any of them under 25?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,351 ✭✭✭✭Harry Angstrom

Some of that fan stuff was pure cringeworthy.

What about this Irish Supporter, you don't hear so much about his antics?

    http://www.independent.ie/world-news/europe/irish-football-fan-jailed-for-eight-months-after-assault-in-paris-during-euro-2016-34848303.html
Hunt was tried before the Paris Criminal Court where he was convicted of armed assault and sentenced to eight months in prison.

    I already miss the Euros.

Robbie Brady's goal might be my favourite Irish team memory.

The pass be Wes was a perfect 10/10 ball.

A friend of mine toured with Flately's Lord of the Dance. He gave it up after 6 months. He got tired or miming to his own music night after night.

Sure nobody was interested in Riverdance at all at all ;)

And in true hypocritical RTE style, in a few months time Miriam will be fronting a Primetime special about the dangers of alcohol and it'll give the Government yet another excuse to shove up the minimum price of alcohol.

    Fair enough.

But I should point out that Messi has just retired from Argentina duty - having not won a major international tournament... :(;)

Maybe you can explain what's it got to do with a bleedin river?
