Will Milik or Lewandowski finally break their ducks in open play, will Portugal be a bit rubbish until Quaresma comes on?

I'll be surprised if this game isn't terrible.

I say, somebody seems to have embedded a football match into this England dissection.

Good to have the footie back.

    Two awful and uninspiring anthems.

Portugal to sneak a dull game.

Why would you have a moment's applause for that tragedy?

I'm watching on TV 3 and got a goal alert on sofa score before the ball hit the net. Is it slightly delayed?

Why oh why were England pundits so delighted to avoid Portugal over Iceland. They have been so ropy at the back even England could have broken them down - a lot easier to do against the Portuguese defence that Hungary pummeled than a resolute, stubborn and well organised Iceland that sit deep? Yet they sit now and pontificate about what is wrong with the English game and the lack of respect yung players have for experienced pros. Weren't they guilty of something of a similar disrespect and lack of insight with Iceland?

Hard to know who to shout for here, Portugal have a lot of dislikeable players and I don't really like the Polish people in general. I find them boring and miserable. Tough one alright.

Not looking good for my pick Portugal. Come on Ronaldo.

Just my experience. I have worked with a lot of them. They never want to help you if your stuck and stick to their own. That's just their mentality I suppose. I'm not saying their bad people or anything

You haven't met the same Poles I have then, great craic. Cultural differences no doubt but a wonderful people in my opinion. I'm shouting for them over an unlikable Portugal team. Bring back Rui Costa and I might change my mind

What are the odds that Ronaldo is going to change it up for the next free kick?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,930 ✭✭✭PeterTheEighth

Very open game. Most open start to a game in the tournament. Hopefully that will lead to a 4-3 or something like that.

I preferred Pepe when he had the afro. It made him look even more mental.

Going off topic here so I won't go on about it after this post but that's pretty typical of first generation immigrants everywhere in the world, I don't think insularity is specifically a Polish thing, I've experienced the same thing with Indian workers here and heard similar about Mexican immigrants in the US.

Now back to the football: when do yellow cards stop being carried over and become reset?

Maybe I'm kinda sorry I said it now. I didn't say I wanted them out or not. I just have plenty of experience where they would hang people out to dry and never dig you out. We will convert them no doubt
