    Hey guys,

Any tips for tightness? I've got the moves of a broom handle.

I've done a search on here and seen this Limber 11 Vid mentioned, haven't looked at it yet...

and a few mentioned foam rolling, I have one of them here, used it once or twice but christ the pain of it:eek:, I've it back out of the wardrobe now and gonna tear into it tomorrow.

    What else can I do?

I'd be fairly "fit", I'd do a beachbody vid every day (pure cardio has nothing on me) and sometimes a 4.5Mile run aswell that has a 300m hill in it it's practically a fecking wall you're going up.

I can't understand why I'm so stiff??? If I sit on the floor and try and touch toes with straight legs their'd nearly be tears!:o:(

You're most likely stiff because you beat your body into the ground every day running.

Running is massively impactful to your joints and things "tighten up" as a result.

In addition, most 'tightness' is caused by poor core and pelvic function (having a 6 pack is not the same as having well working abs).

It doesn't sound like you're doing anything for that either.

Limber 11, along with this as the first movement would be a good starting point: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yMuuKlmdCmw

Whenever I'm feeling tight I would consult Kelly Starrett on mobilitywod

Google [anatomy part] + mwod for loads of his videos on youtube or give his book a read if youre interested. Becoming a Supple Leopard or maybe even Ready to Run

I'd use these before matches or the gym to keep me mobile and try and prevent injuries. I'm naturally quite mobile but heavy exercise does make me walk like John Wayne at times, basically what Hanley said

A physio would probably say that its not perfect but I appreciate what he does
