Looking into doing weekly food prep. Has anyone done it and does the food last long in the fridge after being cooking it ?
Mainly things like brown rice, chicken, turkey, carrot, asparagus, broccoli and the like.
    Any help appreciated.

    Freeze it, don't fridge it.

I do it regularly. Frreeze meals for weeks without issue. Curry, chilli, spag bol, steak and veg. I'd only keep a few days worth in the fridge.

Usually I just make extra portions at dinner for lunch in the next day or two. Maybe on a sunday I'll do a big batch. If you have a slow cooker you are laughing

Thanks, never thought of freezing them, makes sense when someone points it out :)

I usually make all my meals for 4 days, takes approx 1.5 hours, all go. I just fridge them. I find defrosting meals a little watery and puts me off a bit

I usually make my week day meals on sunday and keep in the fridge. 15 in total plus snacks. They keep fine.

Have been doing this recently, breakfasts and lunches on a Sunday night. I usually go with some kind of meat with rice and chopped veg as it microwaves well. I'll put Monday and Tuesday's in the fridge and the rest in the freezer and transfer them to the fridge the night before I eat them.

Breakfast will be some kind of fritata or omlette. I only do enough for three days and have tubs of cottage cheese on the other days.

How do you manage to prepare that many meals in the one day?! It must take ages!

One dinner "recipe" is 4-6 portions. You only really need to make 2 or 3 meals. Easy to do all st the same time.
