Think you're right. If they plan a blowout match at summerslam for cena/aj then cena has to go over at battleground to set it up.

But if they are planning on bringing back a second title for brand split a 5 way makes sense. With some kinda two guys pinned simultaneously thingy

Cena is just awful. So loud with the calls during the match, you could clearly hear him yell ''Stay! Stay!'' when he had Rollins in the STF and about three other times during the match he's shouting the calls. A 15-time world champion who doesn't know how to wrestle properly.

I actually thought they dealt with the Reigns situation pretty well for the way they chose to deal with it. Diffused the crowd etc with misdirection tactics.

I just don't get why they're dealing with it like that. Face is hated. Title run is crap. Gets month long wellness suspension. So obviously set it up to bring him back as a face, that's the obvious thing to do......right?

Couldn't take the Wyatt & New Day segment seriously with them dressed up like them & making jokes. Owen & Zayn will have a good match but it makes Zayn look like an idiot saying Owens is jealous he got signed first when Zayn has done nothing despite the headstart. Is his career goal in wwe to prevent Owens doing anything & then saying Kevin is jealous?
The 2 big matches filled TV time but both had the same overused to death distraction finish. Ambrose for me as champ typifies the current product, it's just nothing to go out of your way to watch as there is no star quality despite the decent ppv offerings.

Makes about as much sense as releasing a sympathetic documentary about Rollins recovery, then bringing him back as heel.

How many times have they started something and not followed through with it with the Wyatts at this stage? Kane feud, Daniel Bryan feud, Brock Lesnar, the HHH teases, easily the worst booked WWE superstar of my adult years.

Honestly, I don't know where the idea that his title run was bad has come from. Since he won it at Mania he's had one of the best title feuds in years with Styles which also produced two quality matches and then a small feud with a returning Rollins which although wasn't great, it wasn't terrible either. We got a decent match out of it and a great ending which set the main event picture up nicely.

I don't know how any of that equates to a 'crap' title run.

"Best title feud in years" is a bit hyperbolic. He had good matches with AJ, sure, but there was no point in that feud where anyone believed AJ would win. That's not interesting.

I guess it's that once he got the title people lost interest in the title scene in comparison to how they would have felt if someone else held it. His matches have been pretty good (I've not been blown away by them) but at no point at all did I think he was going to drop the title to AJ which dulled how special those matches felt as did the poor build to those matches where they ploughed ahead with him as a face while minimizing his role on the shows to try to avoid boos.

For me his reign as champion has been him repeating that he was the guy and doing absolutely nothing else of note to build to anything, having a few better than expected main event matches against a guy who has great matches against everyone and then him screwing up with his wellness violation and dropping the title, thats it!

I don't get the argument that the fact people never believed Styles would win somehow made it a bad feud. That's just how it goes in wrestling from time to time, notably when a new champion is crowned they rarely drop it that early so you get a feud or two with pretty much forgone conclusions but that doesn't change the quality of the RAW segments between them (which were very good) or the matches themselves (again, very good). It feels like one measuring stick for Reigns and another for guys like Rollins, Ambrose etc.

Once the decision to keep him face (which is a different issue really) was made I feel he was booked fairly well considering the circumstances and felt he delivered the best anyone could in that scenario. I'm not suggesting the title run or period in WWE was anything to write home about but I think people are going way overboard as to say he was a terrible champion or had a terrible run.

I didn't say it made a bad feud, I said it didn't make it interesting. But frankly, I don't think we'll ever really agree on this. You seem to love Roman as much as I want him to go away.

I don't love him, I just happen to think he's a pretty good main event guy. Good look, can go in the ring and passable on the mic with great upside. I enjoyed his feud with Styles, and thought the Rollins match was executed very well. I think it's a shame a large portion of the fans boo him as his already consistently good matches would be even better if he was given a chance.
