    Czech Republic vs Croatia

    5:00pm Friday 17th June
    Stade Geoffroy-Guichard

    Teams:

Czech Republic: Cech; Kaderabek, Sivok, Hubnik, Limbersky; Plasil; Rosicky, Skalak, Krejci, Dorida; Lafata.

Croatia: Subasic; Srna, Corluka, Vida, Strinic; Modric, Badelj; Brozovic, Rakitic, Peresic; Mandzukic.

Croatia looked good in their opening game and can secure qualification for the next round with a win. The Czechs are searching for their first points. The Premier League's Mark Clattenburg will be the ref for this one.

I'll go for a 2-1 win to Croatia.

Poborsky & Suker to score........ in a refreshingly retro move....

So have the team behind RTE player. It keeps cutting out to childrens programmes and random parts of England vs. Wales from yesterday. It's unacceptable Joe.

Reassuring to hear this. Thought it was just me.
I tried clearing my Chrome cache, but no use.

Got the exact same, some RTE Jr and yesterdays match.

    Infuriating.
    edit:

An alternative to RTE Player is BBC One on TVplayer here.
Good stream, no sign up necessary.

A lot of fragile balls this tournament.

Croatia have probably been the most impressive team so far.

Don't mind it too much, today, but tomorrow? There'd be murder if the stream is going wonky during the Belgium game, since I imagine some people will be relying on its stability.

Indeed, i'll be one of those people. I'll be going mad if it happens tomorrow. RTE's nepotism probably stretches to their IT department

Srna's dad died 5 days ago. It wasn't clear if he would play today but he told the coach he was ready. It would be a great moment if he scored.

Good save there and as the commentary by Paw patrol said "Rabbits are brave Rabbits are brave" I agree with that

RTE will miss out on a little bit of ad revenue, too, maybe. I've moved over to a BBC stream.

What on earth is Clattenburg doing? One of the most blatant fouls you'll see and he shakes his head.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,248 ✭✭✭✭BoJack Horseman

    and he shakes his head.

    Could be worse.

Why no Lovren in the Croatia squad ?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 40,061 ✭✭✭✭Harry Palmr

He had a falling out with the coach which started with something very small - the match warm up and escalated from there.

from an Irish perspective, you want two ideally heavy wins for Spain/Croatia in this group today...

Croatia are a very good side. Would like to see them go far. Modric the best midfielder on the planet for me.

    Kovacic on.

Hopefully nothing too serious for Modric.

Croatia look very impressive. The Czechs and Turkey wouldn't be the weakest of teams and they have looked very impressive in beating them.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,790 ✭✭✭Bret Hart

    Should have took a touch.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 51,342 ✭✭✭✭That_Guy

Eh, that's a push Clattenburg you clown.

EDIT: Or not. My apologies to you and your weird tongue action Mr. Clattenburg.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 51,342 ✭✭✭✭That_Guy

Right in the bollocks. That's gotta hurt.
