Petrol Recommendations

As someone who does very low mileage in the city, bar the odd run home maybe once or twice a month, I know that Petrol suits my needs. However, I'm in the market for something new and fancy :cool:, preferably 132+ and I'm struggling to find a petrol car that takes my interest, Budget of circa 20k

All of the recent High Spec releases (that I can see!) are diesel.. (Pro Ceed, Mazda 3 etc).. Ideally I'd like something a little higher spec than the basic models but am I just looking at the wrong options? it just seems that if you want petrol you have to settle for a basic model, or something with a Turbo (which I've been told to stay away from). I know a Diesel would be wasted on me. Ideally I'd like a saloon but limitations are keeping me in the small hatch section.

Any recommendations?

Lexus is200h might be an option?

Hard to find an IS300h for 20k. Smaller CT200h hatchback would be within budget or the Prius/Auris hybrids that use the same drive train as the CT200h.

Thanks..whats the general consensus on the Hybrids? They don't look too bad. The Lexus didn't appeal to me at 1st but its growing on me...

Well built, high spec. Cvt gearbox can be odd at first but works well. Cheap to run for the size. Not a bad car IMHO

Many taxi drivers running these at very high mileage without issue. Probably as reliable as they get.

The quality is there and it runs deep. AFAIK the Lexus hybrids are built on a slow moving production line like the Prius to help avoid mistakes and build quality issues. I've yet to hear of a bad one. Battery packs last well too
