    What do we want lads?

Panel saying Italy loss so they might be out by time we play but that could mean Sweden on 4 points?

probably, but with a world cup campaign around the corner, would it not have been time to blood a younger man from Italian point of view.

They'll have to wait until Euro 2020 as he's aiming to play in the next WC. If he's still their best at that stage then it'd be crazy not to play him.

    The best national anthem.

Yeah, absolutely love this anthem. (Italian)

Milan's goalie the ready made replacement, he probably will just be 20 by 2020 euros.

nearly know it off by heart from when Ferrari won all the F1 races back in the day.

God the Belgian Jersey looks like a bad parody of a Man United one :D

Belgian side is scary on paper, 3-1.

    Jim Beglin

Let's hope for a highly destructive draw.

    Ha, exactly!

Was at an Italian Grand Prix which Schumacher won yeeeeears ago, everyone going nuts when the Anthem played. Great craic.

Just when you think Fellaini can't look any more stupid, he decides to dye his hair.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 7,631 ✭✭✭Dirty Dingus McGee

According to Jim Beglin Belgium have a half forward line of great variety it's good but I'm not sure it's up there with Connolly,Kilkenny and Flynn.

    Italian win please.

Why do Italian players always play on near their 40s!?

They have a history of it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,926 ✭✭✭✭Francie Barrett

Let's hope Italy's performance is better than Buffon's singing. Go Italy!

    Think Italy could surprise here.

Poor Tekkers, still can't get a start.

    Fellaini haha. Head on him.

    Best result for us here?

I honestly thought Valderama was playing, just Fellaini

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,150 ✭✭✭✭LuckyGent88

Can't stand all the whistling when Italy have the ball. Absolutely pointless.

Is it worse than Stephen Hunt?

Surprised he didn't play Florenzi at right wing back

Three sendings off, five injuries, an Italian win and a Belgian implosion please.

Belgium 3-2, think there will be a red card for the man with the fuzzy hair.

probably because they don't get trusted with a first team spot until they're 29

The current AC Milan keeper is 17 and has been playing for a year. He is the heir to Buffons crown and will probably be the Italian #1 for 20 years.

Liking the look of Italy so far.

    Conte is God.

That's the average age an Italian man leaves his mother's house also, might just be a coincidence.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 848 ✭✭✭Superhorse

I think Italy are a great team. Yeah they don't have the individual genius players but they are always playing as a unit and give feck all away. That said I think we have more chance of getting something from them than against Belgium who will destroy us.

Randolph will have to do a Howard, it is going to be exactly like the USA game two years ago

but he won't be picked for Italy regularly for another 4, 5, 10 years at least...

I think they will start to bed him in during the world Cup qualifiers.

This is Buffons 8th major tournament, has any other player played in this many?

    Come on Italy.

Belgium have by far the superior players but Italy have by far the superior manager.

Belgium are a very entertaining team. In the first half Fellaini will stand on a rake, and in the second half he throws a bucket of confetti into the crowd.

    Lothar Matthaus.

    80,82,84,86,88,90,92,94,98 and 2000

    I don't think he played a game in 1980.

And for his finale, he will sing the entire score of the HMS Pinafore.

Hard to see Ireland getting anything off of Belgium. Hard to see anything for Sweden either, though. Maybe 3rd and 4th will come down to what happens v Italy.

    And against Italy.

    So well organised.

    We won't break them down.
