Germany: Neuer, Howedes, Boateng, Mustafi, Hector, Khedira, Kroos, Muller, Ozil, Draxler, Gotze.
Subs: Leno, Hummels, Schweinsteiger, Schurrle, Podolski, Can, Weigl, Tah, Sane, Kimmich, Gomez, Ter Stegen.

Ukraine: Pyatov, Fedetskiy, Khacheridi, Rakitskiy, Shevchuk, Sydorchuk, Stepanenko, Yarmolenko, Kovalenko, Konoplyanka, Zozulya.
Subs: Boyko, Butko, Tymoschuk, Kucher, Seleznyov, Rotan, Budkivskiy, Rybalka, Garmash, Zinchenko, Karavayev, Shevchenko

I reckon a nervy 1-0 win for Germany.

I think there'll be goals for both teams here and am going to go out on a limb and predict a 2-1 win to Ukraine. Just think the German team might be a little jaded.

German starting the game with 10 men very cocky ;)

I fancy Germany to make a statement in this one. They tend to step up a gear when the tournament comes along. I'll say 3-0 to them.

Also England's Martin Atkinson is the ref for this one.

Hard to look past the Germans. Fancy them outright and fancy them to get 3 wins in the pool.

Ukrainian coach Fomenko: "I don't like open play. If you have not conceded a goal, you do not lose." "We are not adventurers."

This one should be a humdinger.

No striker and a makeshift back 4 for Germany.

It is quite weird watching such a concentrated level of football after only having a passive interest since the World Cup.

Are their any ethnic Russians in this Ukraine team?

Great isn't it. It's like a world cup every 2 years now. How do we cope when the euros only had 8 teams in it pre-96

They could be annexed to bolster the Russian squad before the game against Slovakia.

Even worse, there were only 4 teams before 1980.

Keith Andrews is really trying to be an exciting commentator but doesn't realise that he's sounds like he's on the phone in a toilet.

Ha, he's at it again. I'd nearly switch from BBC to TV3 for the howl

If it was a smart TV, it probably wouldnt pick up TV3 at all.

Keith Andrews again tonight, shouting and roaring. Beglin, Whelan, Andrews... Can they not find one commentator on RTE or TV3 that doesnt bug the hell out of me??
