At the moment I weigh 14 stone (height 5ft 7in). I am quite overweight and would love to have a ripped, chiselled body or at least get close to that look. I know that diet and exercise is the key to this but I am the type of person that needs a clear plan to follow otherwise I never stick to it. I would be grateful if people who have undergone such a change themselves or are just generally knowledgeable in the area could provide some guidance re diet, the type of foods I should eat, percentage of protein, fat and carbs that I should have in order to achieve this.

Find out your maintenance calories. Knock off about 500 from this. Track your calories and when you plateue in weight knock off a little bit more. Also follow a lifting schedule to build up some muscle but that part will more happen when you're happy with your weight and can start bulking up.
