Anyone remember the good old snes? Just dug out mine from the shed yesterday. Spent a good few nostalgic hours playing donkey Kong country and Mario kart. What are they worth nowadays?

Are the games boxed with manual?

Have a check of completed and sold listings on ebay for their current value.
But, sure if you're having so much fun why sell it?
Keep it, play it, love it!

And get an RGB cable, about a tenner on ebay.

And don't play it on a modern flat screen, get a Sony trinitron tv, a 21" will cost around €20, if anything at all.

    Best €30 you'll ever spend!!

Donkey Kong is boxed with manual and there's another one with a box but no manual called cool world.... got it in Spain as a kid

Boxed SNES games are fairly hard to come by, as people tended to throw them out. So they command a higher price.

Take a look on eBay or pay a visit to R.A.G.E shop on Fade St, Dublin 2.

    Cool World boxed?!?!?!

    That's worth a small fortune! :D

Edit: do not go NEAR the rage with Cool World, they'll see you coming a mile and laugh.

eBay the crap out of that.

Sorry for posting in your thread op but I have loads of Snes games boxed with manuals and didn't realise they were with anything. Don't think I could sell them though as I still play them the odd time.
Two in particular that stand out are a limited edition Street Fighter 2 in a tin and Mortal Combat with the CD of really terrible rave music!

I would say a quick forum search should answer that question

Hmmm. Seems like they overprice everything they sell? I imagine the buy at a low price too? Frankly I couldn't be arsed going down the ebay route. I have a bag of snes cartridges that have been collecting dust that I have on emulators anyway. I might just go in with all my stuff and see what they will give me for it.

Stick them on adverts, it's easy, not much hassle at all, & you'll make easily twice or three times as much as you would from the rage. Not that the rage is a big evil monster or anything, they're a bricks n mortar store that has staff, bills, rates, overheads, etc. Plus they have to make a profit too to make the whole thing worthwhile....but as a seller, your best bet is to sell privately.

Fair enough. It could only take 30 mins I suppose!

You could also try using our own Marketplace for them, where there is far less buggering about with lowball offers.
You may not shift them all en masse but you will sell them with the knowledge they are going to a good home!

If you go ahead and post them on Adverts that cool, but please stick a link in the auctions/bargains thread here

Second the arcade retro marketplace idea. Looking for Snes carts myself and they're going to get a lot of love.

    mod edit, original post deleted

Stick it on the marketplace or Adverts. You can't be fishing for offers directly on the forum here.

You still have to name a price too on the market place don't you?

Done deal it if you don't want the usual "ah Shur I'll give you €20 for it".
