    Hi,

    Lost story short.
    I was with Davy - very disappointed with service/ platform,

    Moved to Saxo, very happy with service/ platform,

    But for trading US securities the commissions are killing me, nearly 40 for a round trip.

    Can anyone recommend a good DMA broker for trading us stocks ?

    Is anyone using interactive brokers?

    I use Interactive brokers. No problems whatsoever. But there is $10/month minimum commission rule. Also additional fees for live prices (waived if commissions over $30/month). But for active traders it's great.

    DeGiro is very cheap for US shares.

    Depends on your trading style. If you are active trader and don't need any support - IB.
    If you are more buy and hold investor - TD Ameritrade.

    So access to live prices is basically free if your commission is over $30 a month? I could cover that commission with one trade with my current broker.

    What about level 2 data?

    Been using DeGiro the last couple of months - fees are very reasonable. They have over 700 ETFs that are essentially 0 cost per trade as long as you purchase no more than once a month - fits in nicely with monthly salary. Real time prices you don't get.customer service not that great - but overall I'm happy with the service to date.
