Pixie Lott not singing a song by The Pixies with Pixie McKenna? :(

    Brendan O'Connor would've had that.

    D'Arcy's a fooking smutty knob!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 9,046 ✭✭✭Berserker

Rob is getting prepared for the Olympic games and all Ray wants to know about is the smut.

What age are you?... Any half decent presenter does their research and phrases it "You're 38 now. Is that old for a race walker?"

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,444 ✭✭✭✭Skid X

So I hear you're a racist now, Rob?

We should be thankful he didn't ask him how tall he is.

Angela Rippon, original and best Top Gear presenter.

    Evening All.

 Pixie Lott has fairly aged since the last time I saw her.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,585 ✭✭✭✭Lady Chatterton

Angela is 71, looks brilliant and is blessed with a great brain.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,444 ✭✭✭✭Skid X

I was the audience for a BBC Panel Show once,

it dragged on and on, endless retakes and technical problems. Everyone lost their cool except Angela. A real professional. Always on top of her game.

I hope Ray doesn't challenge her to some press-ups.

I remember that happening. The sound of millions of collective jaws dropping and hitting the floor. One of the greatest moments ever on TV.

She really is so sprightly and lively for her age.

It's it wonderful to see someone who looks great at 71 and hasn't felt the need to have loads of plastic surgery.

    This could end badly.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,635 ✭✭✭dublinman1990

I wonder Angela thought of the 'fracas' with Jeremy Clarkson if she is asked about Top Gear with the new presenters hosting the show.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 18,050 ✭✭✭✭The Talking Bread

Why is Ray D'arcy obsessed with age?? He asks EVERY guest the question. It relates nothing to the interview in 90% of the interviews. Just a strange cheap, and often time wasting query!

Why would they embarrass this poor woman on live TV. Is this what it comes to now? If this wasnt actually ON Ray D'Arcy's show, he would giving out yards about what a travesty it was.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 18,050 ✭✭✭✭The Talking Bread

competitive D'arcy spent the week practicing that.

If I did that in my suit it would be going back to the menders for some work.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,444 ✭✭✭✭Skid X

This is like something from Live at Three.

Thanks Monica, after the break we meet our audience from Naas and we have a song from Johnny McEvoy.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,930 ✭✭✭PeterTheEighth

Fun fact for you. Tonight there was a guy on the Glasgow team called D'Arcy Rae, and he apparently "played a bit of rugby" as well.

I'm not sure if he's an insufferable killjoy, but I will update you all as soon as I find out.

jeez she was a cracker !!

Ah yeah, she was always a beautiful woman. She would have made a good Mary Poppins.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,635 ✭✭✭dublinman1990

Wow. 50 years in broadcasting come September. What an amazing achievement for her. :)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,337 ✭✭✭✭monkey9

She genuinely seems like a lovely woman.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,444 ✭✭✭✭Skid X

She's exactly the kind of guest they should have more often.

Enthusiastic, well able to talk, tells a few stories, ready to take part in whatever silly game Ray wants to play.

Good booking by the Show, in fairness.
