I wear slippers of an evening, drink hot chocolate and take a hot water bottle to bed to keep warm. I'm with it...

What do the yoof think?

It's mad how quick things can change between what is "in" these days.

Mens shiney shoes with no socks. Disgusting but popular with the bearded, hitler youth, skinny jeans types. Who all seem to be clones of each other.

Single strapping while carrying a backpack/schoolbag used to be the cool way to carry your bag around in my school, but now things have changed and double strapping seems to be back in everyone is doing it!

Reading Harry Potter books and wearing glasses. Both despised at first now regarded favourably, if not exactly cool.

Having new stuff e.g car, clothes etc and shopping in Supervalu. Not cool during the recession (It had to be recession chic -Guess how much I got this pate for? 99 cents in Aldi, or look at my jacket, a fiver in the charity shop ) , but cool again now.

Absolutely baffling to me. Cannot be comfortable.

It's still a guilty pleasure. Not quite cool.

In the late eighties or early nineties the head of Ballygowan was on the Late Late Show saying that everyone would be buying bottled water someday. The audience were in stitches laughing at him.

It's looks awful in my opinion. I would also question people developing foot problems from it in the future.

I'm pretty sure these are out of style again. So that's not cool to cool then once more not cool, in a five year span. This is the way of things though, fashion moves in cycles.

I remember that Late Late. I was laughing at him too. But the last laugh is/was on me.

I only drink bottled water now.

Yeah it looks really manky. In fact that entire "look" is just ridiculous.

This woman apparently "often had more crust on her fanny"

I would like to see that clip. They were right to laugh if he claimed everyone would be buying it, I would like to hear his exact claim. I am sure many would still be laughing today at the thought of people paying well over the odds for it. And seems we are well behind other countries.

    http://www.independent.ie/life/health-wellbeing/health-features/irelands-30year-love-with-bottled-water-30511769.html
"The amount of bottled water we consume per head of population is only a quarter of the Western European average," explains Kevin Donnelly, Country Director for Britvic Ireland which has owned the Ballygowan brand since 2007

The movie version. Something for people who want to appear to like comics without actually liking comics.

A teacher once told us that "one day everyone will have the internet in their house" and the whole class burst out laughing :)
