Is this available on the medical card? I currently have so much weight to lose - I don't know where to start!!!

Start by sorting out your diet and doing light exercise.

XLS Medical isn't a medical treatment. It's not medicine.
It's just a BS name they used for marketing reasons. It's a fibre supplement.

It also has nasty side effects if you eat fatty foods.
Xenical is the one you'd be given with a medical card but like the previous poster said, you are far better off changing your diet and lifestyle so that you can remain healthy for life, not just temporarily.

Neither are available on the medical card. I was going to take it once, got a prescription from GP and queried the horror stories I had read. She said to wear an incontinence pad! That script went straight in the bin, but I do remember being told you had to pay for it (I have a medical card).

Xenical is essentially double strength XLS.

    And it's nasty, nasty stuff.

I was prescribed it a few years back. I sh!t myself about 5 times a day and lost 9lbs in a month.

I came off of it, ate clean, sh!t myself 0 times and lost 16lbs in a month.
