    Bet 365 have it priced:

    Liverpool 7 / 5, Draw 12 / 5, Sevilla 11 / 5

Which is one way of saying it's going to be very difficult to call.

Liverpool should have Can back available with Henderson and Oirigi travelling to Basel also:

    http://www.espnfc.co.uk/liverpool/story/2874605/liverpools-divock-origi-travels-to-basel-for-europa-league-final-against-sevilla

Two of the last three European finals Liverpool were involved in were pretty wild to put it mildly. The potential for a cracking game is there.

I hope you've got good form with starting threads Lloyd.

    Liverpool 3-1 i'll go with.

Worth mentioning that the game will be streamed on YouTube by BT sports for those without a subscription.

Seville must be bored of winning this trophy, ....on that basis, we will win. I think.

how can the UK rights holders decide to broadcast a game over the web to Ireland or any other country which isnt the UK ?

According to Uefa, Setanta hold the rights, not BT sports

I am simply sharing information which may be helpful to others. I never discussed rights, only that BT would be streaming it on YouTube.

Not everyone who reads/posts on Boards resides in Ireland.

A small bit off topic, and maybe I can be put in the right direction..(another thread/forum)
A friend can't watch it live as he has work. He doesnt have recording facility.
Is there anywhere online that this game may be seen on playback/replay?
Preferably somewhere that may have the game very quickly after it has been shown?
Does the UEFA site do full re-runs?

  • Subscribers Posts: 32,859 ✭✭✭✭5starpool

Ya, I think this YouTube thing will be geoblocked to UK only, so methods boards won't lert us discuss will need to be used if you want to try that.

I'll likely be in the pub anyhow, so doubt I'll be worried about youtube. I'll record on BT as well for later so that I can rewatch our triumph or else delete it in a fit of pique after our defeat.

    1.
It'll be on the lfctv website from midnight. Probably the safe bet. Sign up at midnight tomorrow if you haven't found it anywhere else. Might be hard to surf the internet and not find the score.
    2.
Buy an old VHS and tape on adverts or find in your attic. Drop into someone you know who has BT, or a sound local bar. Set record. After match send in someone to collect device and tape. Bring home. Rewind. Make tea. Sit down. Find out it didn't F****** record. Sign up to website.

Sevilla are due a loss in this tournament but it might take pens.

2-2 and pool to win on pens.

It's hard to know which Sevilla are going to turn up tonight. The team that went on a 17 game unbeaten home run and in two cup finals or the team that hasn't won an away game all season in the league.

The player to look out for is Gameiro. Reminds me of Michael Owen in that he is small and quick with a great eye for a finish. One on one with either Lovren or Toure and he'll win hands down. We can't allow him space to run in to.

If it goes to penalties I'd be confident we will win. I saw the penalty shoot out Sevilla were in and their goalkeeper was terrible, only won the shoot out because the other goalkeeper was even worse!!

Game could go either way really. I hope Liverpool players go out and give it their all, but not in an over-committed, stupid red card or leave mad gaps at the back type way.

I'll take a nervy penalty shoot out win, but I'd love a routine, never really a contest 3-0, unlikely as that may be.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,872 ✭✭✭Dickerty

Gicking it. I am happy that we'll put out a good team, but actually think the bench will be more important. Henderson, Origi, Ings, Ibe and Benteke are all likely to be on it, that's a great set of attacking options if we need it.

    2-1 Liverpool, Sturridge and Lallana.

    Tonights the night.
Our biggest game in 2 years.
Feeling confident following our recent performances in big games.
    Champions league would be massive.

Sturridge to step up tonight and show why selling him would be a major mistake. He's ours, he's good, he scores, lets keep him.

A little worried about firmino form in the last few games, but hoping he will step up tonight.

If Moreno and Mig can keep their heads we should be ok, I think..

    Ok...this might help!
Liverpool are shakey at the back.
Sevilla have one of the form strikers in Europe. Kevin Gamiero. 28 goals I think this season.
Sevilla have arguably a stronger spine to their team.
Gk: Rico is vgood but Soria is also good & will start.
CB: Rami has had a good season and will partner Carrico. They complement each other well.
CM: provide a formidable barrier. The polish fella Krychoviak sweeps everything up and is a decent link man. Nzoni again is another good foil in this partnership.

    Vgood team and manager.
Nothing will be easily won tonight.
Hope that helps offset the positivity!

Are Sevilla a team known to try attack the opposition more, or a sit & break team?

Ings not in the EL squad so won't be on the bench. That would be too many attackers anyhow. I reckon our bench will be:

    Ward (if fit) or Bogdan
    Skrtel
    Lucas
    Allen
    Benteke
    Origi
    Henderson

    Still pretty strong.
