Do I need barcodes to resell online?

    Hey everyone,

    If one were to buy clothing from a manufacturer through a website, for example AliExpress or others. and then sell the clothes exclusively in Ireland through own website along with Amazon, eBay. Are you obligated to generate barcodes?

    Amazon have some rules around requiring UPC codes (barcodes) when listing on their site. Ebay and your own site will be fine.

    I would recommend giving each product a product code though, for your own sanity. You can also convert these product codes into a scanner readable barcode by using a free barcode font, which might be useful if you open a store down the line or something
