Might sound a bit girly, but are there any foods or drinks which can improve the appearance of your skin i.e glowing and clear? I know there is a place for moisturisers etc but any natural foods which can help are welcome. I'm rapidly getting through my 30s and, although my skin is naturally clear and the fact that I never smoked and only rarely drink probably helps, I would like to keep it that way so if anyone has any tips for face/skin cleaning routine I would like to hear it! Thanks.

Avocado. Nuts(unsalted) Healthy fats. water melon. obviously as with everything in balanced moderation.

Boiled water squeezed lemon into it. Say twice a week. Very good for you.

Cider vinegar. This stuff is pretty bleh. So one to two teaspoons full twice a week.

And thr obvious drink water. Personally mineral water. No Deep River rock or other bottled tap water.

Avacodo and oily fish. For moisturisers keihls Lancôme and the cheap and cheerful oil of Olay!

Is all of this based on anything specific or is just "common knowledge" sort of stuff?

You need to have a decent protein intake to generate amino acids for the production of collagen to keep skin supple. Foods like meat, eggs and lentils have a good level of threonine, the EEA for collagen production.

Vitamin C is needed for the synthesis of collagen so fruits like oranges, strawberries, kiwis and dark leafy greens are your friends.
