What Are Your Weekend Plans? (Mark 2)

The weekend is once again upon us. Most have downed tools while others continue the hard slog. It's been a sunny day. For all you weirdos, I mean superstitious people, your day may have been spent in frightful anticipation of black cats, ladders, and other doom laden symbols.

Well that's almost behind you now. Will tomorrow bring fun and happiness or will it be boring and empty? My own will be quiet. Maybe. I might pull something out of the bag come Sunday.

As always I welcome you in to my warm bosoms to tell me of your weekend plans.

There was something going on every weekend in April that I had to attend which was great but I think I am going to stay in on the weekends for the whole month of May. Unless I'm convinced otherwise, that's the plan.

I was out in the sun sitting in the garden today and it was so relaxing. I think I'm going to do the same tomorrow.

Plans... Does "covering my head with the duvet and ignoring the world until the need to not get fired forces me to turn up at work again on Monday" count as a plan?

Oh indeed it does. I fully endorse hiding away days.

Work if I end up going in.
This will be my third weekend dry and sick. I am in an awful state. I'm constantly nauseous, I'm dry retching, I have no appetite to eat, even ice cream. I bought it for lunch today and then threw it in the bin.
Right now all I want for my weekend is to go to bed now, with a fan blowing cold air in my face, ice pack on my forehead, my favourite blanket, for 48 hours of just night time and to be by myself.
    I can't cope :( having plans sucks

Yet another weekend thread, yet again another weekend I am staying up working on finishing my degree.

    FINAL EXAM TOMORROW \o/

When I was writing my thesis I wanted weekends to not happen because all I did was work through them. The horror of it. Knee deep in referencing lists, post-its stuck to my hair, deathly pallor from not seeing the light of day.

Until it was finished. I swear I could have flown that day. FREEDOMMMMMM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Had a day off work today (picked a great day to be honest) which was nice. Herself is off to a hen so I'm minding the little one for tomorrow (and probably Sunday).

I have two exams next week, so I should probably spend the weekend studying, but I have itchy feet and want to jump in the car and go somewhere (anywhere, I don't mind). Maybe I'll bring my books with me.

A day trip up to Dublin today to get some Spanish absinthe, there is a few stores I'm calling into the Celtic Whiskey Store, Baggot Wines and O'Briens Wines in Beacon, Sandyford. It works out cheaper if I buy two or three bottles in Dublin (including return Citylink fare) rather than pay stupid mark up prices in Galway from the only shop stocking absinthe in the city, a deli/off licence specialist.

If you want to get into it, you got to get out of it. (Hawkwind 1982)

The weekend is going along nicely. A bit of work was done this morning after which I had a sit in the garden. All of me is now a freckle but that's ok. As the daddy does say 'nobody is going to be looking at you Persepoly'.

In the jammies now with a bottle of Spaten. It's grand stuff. What are yee lot at?

Need to buy a new bedside light. It was a touch light, but that doesn't work. Have to plug it out/in every time. Toss up whether to post that here or TA thread.

Gonna give the house a good clean this morning. With the sunshine yesterday I'm seeing dust places there should be no dust. I'll get that done by 1. Then I'll open a bottle of wine, and put the dogs in the paddling pool for a splash.
I don't plan on even getting dressed into proper clothes

It's my 39th birthday today. To celebrate I'm going to go price a job at 10, then come home and plant the 20 or so plants ive managed to accumulate over the last month but not had the time to plant (I'm a gardener). I'll treat myself to brunch somewhere, but ill probably do so on my own.

Off to the hardware shop as soon as it opens. Our back garden is covered in cat poo and we dont even own a cat. Badly need something to get rid of them at this stage. I'm pregnant and the smell is horrendous!

The weekend has landed. All that exists now is clubs, drugs, pubs and parties. I've got 48 hours off from the world, man. I'm gonna blow steam out my head like a screaming kettle, I'm gonna talk cod **** to strangers all night, I'm gonna lose the plot on the dancefloor. The free radicals inside me are freakin', man! Tonight I'm Jip Travolta, I'm Peter Popper, I'm going to never-never land with my chosen family, man. We're gonna get more spaced out than Neil Armstrong ever did, anything could happen tonight, you know? This could be the best night of my life. I've got 73 quid in my back burner - I'm gonna wax the lot, man! The Milky Bars are on me! Yeah!
