Hard to support either team really
I wanted Exeter to win from the sides in Qualter finals.. Then I wanted Leicester Tiger's to win it from the sides in the semi finals..

I had genuinely forgotten this was on this weekend!

Hoping Racing do it, but only because Carter is playing for them.

Not especially fond of either team, but have always been a big fan of smokin' Joe and I reckon Ben Arous's is he a prop is he a flanker thing is awesome (certainly not helped by Nyanga moving clubs).

Do I support SA or NZ?

Racing get my vote (although in fairness Goosen, Le Roux et van der Merwe :o)

Do it for DC, Smokin' Joe, and the classy Imhoff.

Not a mad fan of either, lesser of two evils, etc.

But yeah. Hard to look beyond "Anyone but Saracens".

I'm looking forward to seeing Owen Farrell and Chris Ashton lifting the trophy after watching John Lacey's great performance as ref before that. What a truly wonderful time to be a fan of European rugby.

I want ROG to win and I hate Nigel Wray Saracens so I'll be supporting Racing Metro.

    Just wait until tomorrow...

Any hint of celebration at any Saracens score or play and you'll be gone. :)

Hope DC can add another medal to the collection. I think I would puke watching Farrell and Ashton celebrate a victory.

Useless trivia time. If the win, DC and Joe would become the 7th and 8th players to win the Super Rugby and European Rugby titles. Who are the others?

    Fall ; Nagusa, Tuitavake, Steyn, O'Connor ; (o) Catrakilis, (m) White ;
Qera, Spies, Ouedraogo (c) ; Willemse, J. du Plessis ; J. du Plessis, B. du Plessis, Nariashvili.

Remplaçants : Ivaldi, Watremez, Kubriashvili, Timani, Galletier, Paillaugue, Ebersohn, Mogg.

    I count 7 French players in Montpellier's 23. Jeepers.

Sorry swiwi and matthew8, I made a mistake. 8 players have done it (I'd forgotten Roussouw and Williams). So they'd be the 9th and 10th.

I already mentioned it but like Montpellier tonight and to a much greater extent, this final is huge for Racing. It's their chance to finally regain some bigger popularity and match their long and glorious history.

Well I think a lot of people here are rooting for them today. I just hope they have plenty of support in Lyon today, to out-shout the Sarries supporters, and hopefully the neutrals will get behind them as well.

Dan Carter has won enough. Time to get Chris Ashton that European medal he's so richly deserved.

Agreed. I fancy Sarries to win, but I wonder will it be a sell out or even close to it?

Biggest club competition?.. perhaps, but it's quickly losing its lustre.

Hmm, hard enough to get motivated to watch it without it being choppy and pixelated.

Great looking afternoon for rugby there. Crowd noisy enough.

Error strewn nervous looking first couple of minutes.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,876 ✭✭✭✭bilston

Looks like a sell out unless there are gaps out of shot.

    Pretty scrappy opening 5 minutes.

Well, well, well. Everyone telling me Saracens and Racing have minimal support, and that European Rugby was on the downslope without the Irish teams at the pointy end.

That ground looks pretty much sold out to me

Neutrals? Saracens couldn't sell out their 9,000 ground for a QF.

There's a good few empties but it's still pretty good attendance

Owens seemd happy enough to have Barritt there next to him until Swarezcki made a big deal of it. Strange situation,

Nigel is a brilliant ref, but he's making the tmo redundant, if he's not willing to actually watch it.

How was that a knock on from Dulin? Facing his own line and the ball fell that direction
