I think this match merits its own thread. If Sunderland win, Newcastle and Norwich are relegated.

    0-0 at the moment.

    Teams:

Sunderland: Mannone, Yedlin, Kone, Kaboul, Van Aanholt, Kirchhoff, Borini, Cattermole, M’Vila, Khazri, Defoe.
Subs: Jones, Larsson, Rodwell, N’Doye, Pickford, O’Shea, Watmore.

Everton: Robles, Stones, Pennington, Funes Mori, Baines, McCarthy, Barry, Mirallas, Barkley, Cleverley, Lukaku.
Subs: Gibson, Oviedo, Lennon, Niasse, Besic, Osman, Howard.

Norwich need to beat Watford tonight to have any hope of surviving but they're currently losing 1-0.

    Norwich have equalised.

Edit: 2-1 to Norwich now. Some game.

I know viewing numbers is probably the answer, but why not show the Norwich match? Much more important game in grand scheme of things?

Probably banking on Sunderland winning to make Norwich's match academic. Sounds like the Norwich game is way more interesting though. An Everton goal would do wonders for this game.

    And Norwich.

Deflection took it closer to keeper, but he'd gone too far

So deserved. Such an average manager full of the same excuses and just can't coach his team to defend

    Big Sam does it again!

    Sweet revenge relegating Newcastle???

Can't see Everton getting back into this but I'd like to see them score to make it interesting.

So obvious that the everton players aren't playing for their manager.

That was so poor from Robles for the first goal.

Delighted for Sam if they pull it off. He'll have them relatively safe next season.

Well done sunderland and large Sam, Kone unbelievably with 2, Robles might actually be a worse keeper than the veteran Howard.

Ha pushed straight into one of the 3 players at the front post!

    Kone on a hatrick now

Everton have been dire. I wonder could they be in a relegation scrap next year if/when they lose Lukaku. Imagine where they would be without his goals.

Is this available on skygo? It's coming on mine as not available (as is other match). Just wondering if it's my new broadband or if its that embarrassing they are banning people from watching.

Allardyce is going to be one smug fúcker after this match.

Bloody hell. Sunderland fans will have a happy summer. Winning to stay up, plus that very win relegates your bitterest rivals.

And Allardyce relegating a Newcastle team that's managed by Benitez of all people.

    Everton still can't score.

    I don't think so.
Unlike Leicester, who put together a huge 9 results at the back end of last year, Sunderland are just out-pointing 2 very poor sides, in this season's run-in.
Before tonight's fixtures Sunderland had got 12 points from their last 10 games, to out-do 10 from Newcastle and only 7 from a dire Norwich.
Maybe Sunderland players only get paid from March on, or are their fans ready to accept this type of outcome year in year out?
If these guys are on big money, then why don't they perform with any level of consistency throughout the season?
Its not really well known, but 3 points gained in August count as much as 3 points earned now!
Sunderland would want to be careful now that all the crap teams are being knocked out of the EPL, and they're slipping perilously close to being a bottom three rated side. They will also have traded the Tyne-Wear derby for the Tees-Wear derby now that Boro are back.
Everton are clearly going backwards; Watford may have a managerial issue to resolve, and the team that comes up via the play-offs is usually short on cash for transfers, so that's their main hope.
I know there's a huge fan on here Paully, and if I'm out of turn, let me know, but can I ask you if you enjoy the Groundhog Day types of season at the Stadium of Light?

Well done Sunderland, but Everton are lost.

it's not just losing, it's the gutless way they do so.

Martinez time is up - I was his biggest fan - its over - sadly didn't work out

PS Paully has gone very quiet , been predicting Sunderland are down for weeks , anyway I'm glad Sunderland are staying up , they can probably build on this season and move on & up
