Almost like clockwork, 4 o'clock came around and we got hit with rain. Am sitting in a bar having something to eat near the school that the panto is on in and the rain, thunder and lighting is almost apocalyptic.

Saying this from the luxury of la usually mild place in the world, but seeing some extreme thunder and lightening must be awesome.

Getting ready to go to a friends house for lunch (yes it's early but it takes half a day to get ready these days). Our boys are the same age. I have this idea of a laid back relaxed chatty lunch. I'm guessing the reality will involve cleaning snots and tears, refereeing little spats and dragging an overtired and crying child home when the time comes.

I used to take my 2 eldest girls every day to work. I'm a barber.. :D fun times from ages 5 weeks up. 16 days old for the second girl. . They're now almost 19 and 15, they loved it cos granda would give them lollipops (kept for bribery for reluctant kids! :D )
I'm still cotside for another 15 mins and I'll be flung out.

Just finished the final clean of my place for inspection, in that strange hinterland between homes. So back to bar side to calm down..

My ma would say something similar, 'that lad doesn't know his his arse from his elbow. Irish mammys wha? Al Porters oulone probably said the same, but the ever inquisitive Alan decided to put it to the test, and here we are. Right now I'm fireside having a few drams of green spot and watching a documentary about monkeys. Herself is feigning interest, which is endearing. She wants to visit Gibraltar on a whim though, so her shallowness betrays her. They're apes goddamit! Barbary f*ckin apes
We've been in Gibraltar for the day, I've many friends based nearby so we crossed enemy lines and I CLEARLY explained the difference. She's making the effort to appease me all the same, gotta love her for that.
