Hi I took all the timber trimmings off my boat as they were looking worse for Ware. Could you recommend how to treat to get back to there former glory. It's teakwood

Just sand it down to clean wood and then it's up to you to to oil it or varnish it, with oil you may have to do it a few times a year to keep it looking good, with varnish you may get a year or two before it needs to be redone.

Would you recommend varnish or oil. Its on an fishing boat so would go through a bit of abuse

If it is getting a bit of abuse I would give it a few coats of epoxy resin and then a few coats of varnish.

I decided to just go with varnish I got from ch marine should I varnish the underneath or should I leave some exposed to breathe. It won't be visible

I would varnish it just to help seal it as water will tend to get trapped under it.
