O'Leary on a rant on Newstalk at the moment. Podcast will be up shortly

Called cyclists "dim and stoopid" and referred to Dublin City as being "run by cyclists" for the benefit of 11k cyclists and what about the 1.8m motorists...

Heard him go off on one, turned off the radio - don't feed the trolls as they say

O'Leary is like another buffon who loves the sound of his own voice and in his world he is king, very possibly in the near future he could have control(doesnt bear thinking about)

the more outlandish the comments, the more reaction he gets. Its like a child when you ignore it, "over here look at me, whoo hooo, HELLO IM OVER HERE, im going to do/say something daft to get your attention, love me, i need a hug"

As soon as I heard he was gonna be on I unplugged my radio. I find him obnoxious!

1.8m motorists? In Dublin? Someone's been at the sherry.

Maybe he was talking about the average height for a Dublin motorist? It would actually make more sense if that was the case.

1.8m is over 6 foot tall. that'd possibly make us the tallest population in the world.

Is it not around 5 foot 9?

    5.9', not 5' 9". In other words just short of 5' 11".

I assume he meant the entire population of the greater dublin area which was 1.8m in census 2011.

Interestingly, if he did mean the population of the Greater Dublin Area, that means those who don't own a car are motorists, and so are all the children.

Still, no less accurate than implying Prestwick is in Glasgow.

maybe he considers every human a potential motorist in the same way that he considers every human a potential ryanair customer.

i know someone who met him and mentioned that he'd never flown ryanair, and had no plans to. o'leary was incredulous.

Grand so, I'll consider every human a potential cyclist in the same vein, and he can up his 11,000 to 1.8m as well! :pac:
