Well a new one for me anyway, anyone else had this happen?

Programmes are recording but if they are part of a series they are inaccessible.

Prog will record, take up space, appear on list as usual with current date and "i" button will show up correct details but when clicked through to series list only older episodes are listed, the episodes recorded since this started happening last week are not there.

I know, I should have expected trouble with this box, I guess it was just silly to expect the damn thing to work properly.

Yup. The horror box up to its usual tricks. A full factory reset seems to have fixed mine.

    Thanks, I suppose I shouldn't be surprised.

The box really is a useless piece of crap, what point is there having a recording box if it cannot reliably playback recordings?

I am just glad I insisted on keeping a separate modem so I can just unplug this and send it back when contract is up.

Tried a reset with recordings kept and it didn't work.

If I have to delete the HDD to fix this bug then I may as well just chuck the thing out the window for all the use it will be to me, on the upside I am on an upper floor so it will make a satisfying smash when it hits the ground.

    I deleted everything.

In the last few days I was having multiple problems with the box. This seems to have fixed it.

I'm sure the usual bugs I've had for a long time, like old recordings coming back will still be there.
