Dubaicoin. I see good potential based on as much knowledge as the next person in this coin and it's really cheap. A grand invested now could be a 100 grand in a year. It's trading at about 0.15 cent now. Any one else investing in Alt crypto currencies?

it could be...or it could be worth nothing. How many alternative currencies are there? they cant all make it...some will fall by the wayside. For me its a MASSIVE risk....but you know risk/return.

Doubled my money in the last week with this coin. When it gets to 200 euro a coin ill be a millionaire but I won't cash out. I'll wait until it's 1000 euro a coin and ill have about 5 million.

What makes you think it's cheap?

    Who accepts this currency?

Why makes this coin stand out from the crowd? There are hundreds of Alt Coins so I am just interested.

Unless there is a very compelling reason, there is a strong chance that it goes the same route as 99% of the other Alt Coins out there.

Just go for coins that have a growing community behind them as it would indicate growing demand for the coin.
Just ensure the coins algorithm has good fundamentals and actually serves a purpose different than the thousands of other scam coins.

The ENTIRE market cap for Dubaicoin is 220 Bitcoins!!!

Its basically like playing with a very volatile penny stock. Each to their own but don't put the rent on it.

Since posting the coin has shot up to 0.25 cents. Was even higher earlier this morning. Very strong support growing behind it.

134th in market cap and rising.

I had several thousand dollars in E-gold back in its heyday. I bought it when gold was low, and traded it for bullion about six months before the bad stories made it unsaleable. I can't credit myself with any spectacular wisdom; I had the money from my mother's will, and I didn't know anything about investing other than the nauseatingly naive conception that "gold is always a good investment". Still, the market went my way and I was extremely lucky not to have been entangled in the mess at the end.

This is the definition of a bubble. Everyone here is the early investors, then the support builds behind it. There is a correction and then it booms again. Eventually the bubble bursts...

Look up any of the theories on bubbles and you will see it is a bubble

You cant really call an almost brand new product a bubble. If it rose for 2 years maybe... Its crazy volatile and if it was my money I would get out now... but it could very well go parabolic.

That is the sign of a bubble! There is no rational behind it. But it might be good in the future, there I must invest. It makes no sense at all

    Hysterical much?
I posted when it was 0.015 cents. It's now 0.05 cents and the market cap has trebled. Was bitcoin a bubble? No. No it wasn't.

A bubble by definition goes way further than anybody expects. This is a brand new product that is off to the races from the start, but some people expect much more from it, and its very early days. That doesnt mean it wont collapse either.

    Hi Mint Aero,

Where can I go about buying this ?

I've research quite a bit and willing to go for it ( 1800) but obviously haven't researched deeply enough to gather a link to a site for acquiring some lol.

Could you please point me in the right direction.

    Thanks

What is a bubble in your opinion? If you look up a chart for a bubble and a chart for bitcoin, they very similar

You don't think bitcoin going from $1400 to $400 is a sign that it was a bubble?

Dubaicoin, run by a lad out of Tunisia, with very little support? Can't see it lasting too long. Get in and get out quicker.

It's funny all the negative comments trying to put the coin down. Fact of the matter is it was 1.5 cents 3 weeks ago when I posted with a market cap of 200 bit coin. It's now gone passed 20 cents a coin with 3,000 btc marketcap. Very strong support behind this coin and a good Dev team behind the scenes it would appear. It won't be long before it surpasses a euro a coin then 25 euro a coin in my opinion.

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 2,896 ✭✭✭sabat

Do you have any research for your €25 figure other than wishful thinking ? I can see this gaining traction before the bubble pops, purely because there's no rube quite like an Arab with money.

There's only 5.8 million coins and very strong demand it would appear. The Dev team appear to be excellent. They haven't even listed on the big exchange sites yet. Based on trends from the last 5 years of watching cryptocurrencies. I'm very optimistic and indeed wishful.

Normally I don't pay any attention to these ponzi schemes but seeing as I posted here I thought I'd have a quick look at the exchanges to see what was going on. This particular "currency" has one massive fundamental characteristic that differentiates it from all the others listed, one which means it will inevitably crash then disappear. It should be immediately obvious to anyone with half a brain what that is.
I'm not going to say now what that flaw is, but as an experiment/public service I'm going to attempt to crash it and it won't even cost me any money. Watch this space...

Hey Mint, having everybody tell you you are crazy is one sign that you might be on to something :)

Its got almost no liquidity so movements up and also down will be very volatile. Can you tell me any feature that makes this coin stand out from the hundreds of others on Coinmarketcap? I have watched lots of alternative crypto's become flavor of the month and then fade in insignificance over the past few years.

Do you really think it can be a competitor to Bitcoin?

How are you purchasing and does the platform allow you to have stop losses?

In case anyone is interested, in the last week, DubaiCoin's market cap has crashed from a high of $1.5 million (May 21) to $.77 million (today). Halved, basically.

    Astonishing.

No it didn't crash. Every graph including your apples and volkswagons has an up and down. This is an adjustment as the main outlet for buying dbic is yobit at the moment. A site synonymous with poor traders so the volume is low. The fact it reached 20 cent is astonishing. The price has stabilised and will increase again when it moves to larger exchanges and the payment gateway is established.

Ok, it halved in a few days - which was not a crash - and it will resume its rise to infinite value shortly.

    Got it.

Ah now don't be silly. I don't know whether to sell when it hits a euro a coin, 10e a coin or wait til it's about 150e a coin. What do you think?
