    w00t! Bring it on :pac:
Daniel Sturridge is in the Liverpool squad for Sunday's Premier League clash with Swansea City – but Jurgen Klopp has left a host of key players behind.

The Reds striker is expected to feature at the Liberty Stadium after being overlooked for Thursday night's Europa League semi-final first leg away to Villarreal.

However, Roberto Firmino, Joe Allen, James Milner, Alberto Moreno and Kolo Toure have all been spared the trip to South Wales with one eye on next Thursday's second leg at Anfield.

The rest of those players who were involved at El Madrigal have travelled to Swansea, including Philippe Coutinho, who has recovered from the sickness bug which forced him off at half-time.

Klopp will field a much changed side with the likes of Martin Skrtel, Connor Randall, Brad Smith, Kevin Stewart, Danny Ward, Cameron Brannagan, Joao Carlos Teixeira, Pedro Chirivella and Sheyi Ojo all in contention.

Swansea have been on the beach for a few games and Liverpool clearly have bigger fish to fry, but Klopp made 7 changes for Stoke and won that plus 10 changes for Bournemouth and won that so no reason to feel this can't be a competitive meeting.

Nope, well yes but not in the UK/Ireland, have to watch by *other* means.

Confirmed #LFC team to face @SwansOfficial:

    Ward, Clyne, Skrtel, Lovren, Smith,
    Stewart, Chirivella,
    Ojo, Coutinho, Ibe,
    Sturridge

Confirmed #LFC substitutes against @SwansOfficial: Mignolet, Benteke, Lallana, Lucas, Brannagan, Teixeira.

Only six subs as Randall is ill.

It's great for the likes of Chirivella, Stewart, Smith, and Ward to get some game time. Hopefully the whole team rises to the occasion.

Pretty sure that Klopp is just pretty sure he's not good enough. I'd love him to be but he's an exceptionally limited player and if commitment was enough then Jay Spearing would be running our midfield.

Was it not said he is just getting his fitness back properly?

    I just read this elsewhere:
with an average age of 23 years and 218 days, this is the youngest matchday squad in Liverpool’s history.

Everyone has sleep in their eyes.

The senior players have to show the way alas one of them is Skrtel.

    Well that was entirely predictable.

Bit of a relief our Premier League season was finished well before this game, really indifferent about conceding that goal, hope we can turn it around though for the sake of the young lads, would give them a nice boost in confidence.

BT had to move it to Sunday because of Liverpool playing Thursday

Any non UK/ Ireland TV games on a Sunday have to kick off now at the same time as any of the to games

I didn't realise this. I was wondering why Liverpool would kick off on post Europa Cup Sundays at half one or four when we weren't on tv. What's the thinking behind that rule?

On the game, Ward is playing very well. He looks a very capable goalkeeper.

It's ridiculous how much worse Lovren looks beside Skrtel.

Getting battered here thus far, midfield not giving our defence an out and we're thumping it long, alternative is Coutihno dropping deep bit he's been turned over a few times now - again there for the 2nd

Harsh on Ward to have conceded two goals already, he's been solid

Looks like Klopp doesn't particulalry care for the Europa next season: CL or bust.

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

I don't mind Klopp making changes and playing the young lads and this fixture is all a bit meh, but at the same time, a defeat is one thing but i don't want us getting a hiding.

He's highly rated but I don't see it at this level based on the 2/3 times I've seen him

That's a good tackle, gets the ball

The chap looks so out of place did he win it the chance to play for Liverpool in a cornflakes competition

A change or two and a bollicking at HT might avoid a hiding I'd say.

Wouldn't be surprised if this ended 2-2 or 3-2

If we lose a player to a sending off will they miss the Europa semi? I can see someone getting sent off here.

This is true: if we've learnt one thing this season it's that a 2-goal lead means **** all in Liverpool games.
