Baywatch and Knight Rider star David Hasselhoff will gear up for the start of the Gumball 3000 celebrity motor rally in Dublin tomorrow by joining Ray D'Arcy as a guest on his RT One show on Saturday night.

Hasselhoff is no stranger to the Gumball 3000 shenanigans having waved the chequered flag and taken part in the race in a replica of his Knight Rider car KITT in the past.

All-Ireland winning Dublin footballer Bernard Brogan will also join D'Arcy to chat about winning his fourth National League title in a row last weekend, his hopes for the future and his upcoming wedding plans.

As he prepares to fly out to Eurovision in Stockholm next week, Nicky Byrne will reveal all about his preparations for the big night, and will share his excitement at carrying the hopes of a nation with his song Sunlight.

Former Coronation Street and Loose Women star Denise Welch will chat about her life as one of TV's best- known faces, as well her plans to return to soapland next week with an appearance on EastEnders.

There will also be a very special profile interview with folk legend Damien Dempsey, who will play a selection of his most-loved songs.

The Ray D'Arcy Show airs Saturday, April 30 on RT One at 9:45pm.

Hopefully Pamela Anderson has briefed The Hoff on how good of an interviewer Ray is.

    What the holy jesus?!

I've heard of literally every one of tonight's guests. All of 'em. This has to be a first.

I might even go mental altogether and say I'm looking forward to this.

    Evening all...

We're playing a game in casa Valentina tonight. You take a sup every time Ray says yeah/okay/fine/hmmm in an disinterested tone. Bonus shot for every time he mentions handshakes/his height/porridge/running/his wife's girl crush.

    Chin-chin!

    Evening all! :)

(keep your eyes peeled at 3:21...a firework just misses The Hoff! I'd like to think that it was simply a misfire, and not deliberately aimed at him)!

Let's not get ahead of ourselves. It's still presented by Ray D'Arcy. You could give him Peter Ustinov, David Attenborough, Billy Connolly and Muhammad Ali and he'd still make a bollix of it.

    The Hoff and Ray D'arcy

This could be the greatest interview in irish tv history.......for all the wrong reasons

You missed out 'right...' in a disinterested tone, was that deliberate on health grounds?

The Hoff is absolutely towering over Ray, so he must be about 5ft 9" :pac:

    Hoff, Hoff, Hoff.
A sweet sort of hapless character. Doesn't seem to realize that people are laughing at him, not with him.
But enough about Ray, The Hoff is OK.
    8-)

Loved Knightrider, then there was McGyver and all those other great 80s shows.

Ray in his "ask questions we know the answers to already " mode thus far.

When I was a kid, I thought Knight Rider was as cool as anything could possibly be.

And then Baywatch came along... :D

A few years ago, David Hasselhoff phoned his agent and said "From now on, I want to be known as The Hoff."

His agent said, "Yeah sure, no hassle..."

To be fair, he's not as dumb as he looks. That Baywatch deal (where he bought the universal telly rights from the producers) made him bazillions. He's worth much, much more than your average telly star.

Waits for Ray to make sexist comment to the Hoff....might be waiting a while...

    Ray: No Hassle
