Jett looks to have a real nice chance at the prices in the Grade 1 Novice hurdle. Started off in bumpers with a reputation as a bit of a star but flattered to deceive on a number of occasions looking a bit green and disinterested at times if truth be told.
Went for his first spin over hurdles in February at Leopardstown over 2 mile 4 travelling and jumping well before taking it up near the end and asserting well on the run-in. His next run i was very surprised to see him dropped in trip to 2 mile in a grade 2 at Fairyhouse, he ran an ok race all things considered, was up with the pace early but was no match where it counted where his lack of pace showed.
He's back up to 2 mile 4 and although it's a Grade one i don't think it's the strongest grade 1 in the world and i've a feeling Jessie's targetted this race for this boy for a while. Thomas Hobson should set a good gallop and i can see Puppy letting this boy creep into it and pick up a place at least.

Quite amazing really that Vroum Vroum Mag is favourite for a champion hurdle that isn't welsh or scottish

Unbelivable i have to say. I have a feeling Sempre Medici could back into this given MTOY had a very hard race in Aintree and Identity Thief is the most overrated horse in training.

Not that she couldnt do it but she has a lot to prove..

Venetia has a horse running at Bangor Drumshambo who is seriously well handicapped but I'm sure this horse's best trip is 2-21/2 miles and they persist on running it over 3. That said this is such a bad race down in class that he's worth chancing at the price 14/1. If this was over shorter I'd have it as a max bet but worth a score at the price

Took those 14s last night. Chieftains Choice in the 7.20 at 10s too.

If the trend continues you'll be better of laying if that's your thing, another Cheltenham/Aintree horse that'll probably get caught for pace when it matters on its third Spring run.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,484 ✭✭✭Peintre Celebre

Chanced Cooper's in the second at 10/1 as well

that leaves on the fringe vulnerable too i guess...i keep looking at jers girl but i cant bring myself to back it in the mares novice....cant put my finger on whats stopping me either

i think cooper is riding dreadful lately, however his ride on bright new dawn yesterday deserves to be applauded

Have fallen into the trap of backing Koshari

Willing to oppose Bella Conti especially on the back of having run at Chelt and Aintree

If Toushan 25/1 4.20 Punch is allowed an easy lead he will make them run.I'm all You Need 25/1 is a player if she can reproduce her form of last year good ground a big help. What does Jack Say 33/1 7.10 for the shrewd Oliver Mc Kiernan. He was withdrawn at lower level meetings due to ground one to watch for the future if not today.Mendip Express12/1 a sporting chance to beat a superstar hunter.

    I can't, in college

On the quick links tab on the left of the site, click horse racing. Then totepools under that heading, near the bottom

Going with Marlbrook (6/1). Think he's a Graded animal and should win. Also doing Marinero (8/1) cos the money is coming for him and he hasn't been off a yard all year. Be a joke if he wins though, tbh.

Identity Thief (5/1) and Champagne Harmony e/w (40/1).

Koshari's French form doesn't read that great but the money's coming for him. Nothing else to take on Bello Conti with really so fk it, I'll back it blind (3/1).

    Also done Bonny Kate (5/1).

Not good to see Ladbrokes a big price 6/1 on my fancy at Chepstow, big player still.Drifted out to 12/1 and ran like it.

What does that matter? They haven't a breeze anymore. Last up with everything so they can pick and choose which lines to copy

Just doing a ****ty multiple on on the fringe, vroum vroum and jers girl. Haven't the heart to look any deeper than that right now.

Had an ew nibble on Padraig's Joy , avoided the winter ground and value 40/1

Really fancy Fran Berry's ride in the 5:05. Horse has struggled to get the hang of hurdles despite some good ability, should be too classy for this lot.

My tent or yours has to be the fab in this. Vroum vroum mag not really been up against a quality horse like my tent or yours in its previous races

Mtoy didn't jump the last two fences well. Looked like he was being pulled up at the last actually.

He was knackered, 3 Grade 1 runs in the space of 7 weeks or so after 2 years out was just too much.

The week before next year's Cheltenham, this mare will probably be in the betting for the Champion Hurdle, Ryanair, Gold Cup, Champion Chase, Mares Hurdle and Stayers Hurdle. Willie will probably make up his mind on the Monday ;)

    That was a frustrating race.

It was impressive but wouldn't say done with plenty in hand. Favourite battled on and the 3rd looked to be coming with a run but found little at the last.

Koshari had the rail which helped. I'm not complaining anyway, fancied the favourite to get beat.

Tom Scu at Bangor for one ride on the nicely handicapped Dun Sciath, worth a few quid.
