Hi I'm thinking about moving to the Aran islands with my 3 small children (All 5 and under) I'm trying to find some long term rental accomodation for now but all I can find are holiday rentals.

Just looking for advice on which of the islands would be best. Also average monthly rent rates. Any advise really!
I'm not sure of the age demographics either, hoping there will be people similar to my own age there too to make friends with (early mid 30s)

Did you make the move ?
There are alot of people that would love an annual tenant and cost is about 100pw.

Hello, I know that this is an old post but I am considering a sabbatical on the Aran islands as a physician from the US and was looking into options of long term cottage rentals. Thank you in advance

I have relatives from Inisheer so due to personal bias i'd recommend there! That's the smallest of the islands. Inishmore of course is the biggest. If total and utter peace and quiet is what you want, then the middle island Inishmaan is the one. Inishmaan get's a lot less tourist traffic than the other two islands as well.
