Styles’ longtime friends Gallows & Anderson to make Raw debut

How will Dean Ambrose retaliate against Chris Jericho?

    Has Corbin stolen Ziggler’s spotlight?

Will old-school fisticuffs trump new-school smacktalk?

Is Shane McMahon's tenure as Raw showrunner coming to an end?

    something something Balor

Will old-school fisticuffs trump new-school smacktalk?

is that referring to anything in particular?

is that referring to anything in particular?

It's referring to Enzo & Cass taking on The Vaudevillains.

If Finn doesn't debut tonight I give up :(

Is there anything to the video of FB saying he's staying in NXT or does it just get him heat when he debuts on RAW?

I really like the fact that they debuted a lot of new guys post Mania. Makes the show seem much fresher than the usual post Mania shows.

I sure miss the days when they didn't have to post teasers for the show - people watched for the element of surprise

I still doubt Finn debuts tonight. Best impact will be next Sunday to cost Styles the match though that's such a common theory now I wouldn't be surprised if they go against it just to mess with us internet folks.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,543 ✭✭✭Mick Murdock

I think it's almost set in stone that main roster call ups happen on TV to increase network buys for matches. I suppose it can also lead to rating spikes post ppv if they surprise debut on the ppv.

A debut post Payback wouldn't surprise me either. It's a good model to keep things interesting but NXT could be bare bones pretty soon without Balor and Joe if he arrives at some point.

Well f** you then WWE. That's it? Just an RIP message at the start? Bet they won't even acknowledge it throughout the show.

Reigns v Del Rio, Sheamus v Styles and Zany v Rusev for tonight. Might hit the hay early.

"Finn Balor Has Begun" or some words to those effect... Sign in the crowd.

    This is killing me..

Steph like an uncouth young wan after too many drinks attacking a bouncer.

hate those security guard segments, so common. why not just have the match happen around her and force her to leave? way funnier and same impact- also saves time

What exactly happened? I only tuned in about 20 minutes ago. I'm guessing The Authority returned.

Good match that to be fair!

Enzo & Cass saved the show so far. Love those lads.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,166 ✭✭✭Stereomaniac

I hope The Vaudevillains win on Sunday. Enzo & Colin Cassady aren't doing it for me since debuting.

    "UUUUS!"

    "NOOO!"

That's how the fans are actually responding these days. Usos are atrocious.

Shane started the show and then Stephanie came down, they squabbles over who gets to run Rae and Stephanie then said they Vince will decide between them at Payback.

I really, really, really can't stand Reigns.

Anyway, seen enough for tonight. Will check the rest of the show out tomorrow.

Loved that little bit of nostalgia there. Thanks Halifax. You took me back..

HHH: So, we should have Gallows and Anderson debut tonight...

Vince: Yeah, have them face the Usos, but let the Usos get in a lot of offence because Roman

HHH: Okay, but Anderson and Gallows should win

Vince: I suppose, but we gotta make Roman look strong. Lets have him come out to save the Usos and beat the hell out of both of them!

    HHH: *mutters something underbreath*

    Vince: What was that?

HHH: Nothing *counting down days til Vince's death in his head*

I'm already not liking the way Gallows and Anderson are being booked. They were killers in NJPW. I'm highly irritated by this.

Cheers for the update. I guess that will end up with Vince teasing picking both of them and setting up some sort of stipulation match for the following pay per view.

As I've been saying for about 2 years, you never know. Maybe he'll interfere in the main event.

Doubt it, this program between Roman and AJ too far gone for now.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,166 ✭✭✭Stereomaniac

They just mentioned Samoa Joe won the NXT Championship but not who he defeated for it there.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,630 ✭✭✭Gamer Bhoy 89

Dean Ambrose cutting a fairly decent promo. No daft ****e.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,166 ✭✭✭Stereomaniac

That was good enough hype I thought. Chris Jericho looking dominant enough, rather than apathetic.

This is the best thing they've done Miz in years, I can genuinely see him getting back to the main event scene again soon. Outstanding heel, and so is Maryse too.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,166 ✭✭✭Stereomaniac

Hopefully he beats Cesaro on Sunday now. He's so overlooked, I feel. He's been great in any scenario that they've put him in over the last couple of years I think. Maryse is a bonus.

Is it possible this is his new gimmick? The old c*nt taking up a spot on the roster, blocking younger guys from getting over.

Kane's been out lately so someone's gotta do it.

Vince: Actually, I've had another idea, let's have them attack Reigns at the end, but then have Reigns able to beat them off and let AJ get the last say, that will get all the pops! Reigns will be a star, damn it!

    HHH.....I quit.

Entireably skippable raw! and as a ppv go home show - it was piss poor!

With the exception of the announcement about Vince choosing who runs Raw on the PPV, there wasn't actually anything new this week. All the matches announced last week were just reinforced this week, some with the same angles from last week.

I thought it was a solid episode, in that it set out to lay out the card and give previews. But if you saw last weeks episode, you saw 90% of this weeks too.

Actually, was forgetting the nice Sami/Owens video package as well. And Bullet Club's gear. But otherwise, year. The PPV looks solid though.

I am 100% sure a Reigns heel turn is coming. There was too many segments that felt designed to have lines set up for the post-PPV video packages...

Honestly, why is Stephanie still a character? Who does she put over as a face or heel? Vince was there to help get Austin over beyond belief, HHH has played the same role with both Bryan and Reigns (well he tried very hard). What does Stephanie do other than bury people and have no actual storylines of her own?

Maybe? But Chris Jericho is still able to perform to a reasonably high level I think. Probably not as much as a few years ago but he's still fairly well able to go.

Somewhere Mizdow is crying at that post & grateful I remember him.
Haven't watched Raw properly in weeks but will watch Payback eventually. Very tidy card on paper.

I'm looking forward to A.J Styles vs. Roman Reigns. Raw has done a good job of making sure that. I was a bit annoyed that we didn't get to see Sandow have his match last night too.

Thought it was a good raw. Payback looks a good card with some solid build up to the matches

He isn't Big Show/Kane useless, but god that dude is a stale mutha****a, and contrary to popular belief he is very well protected these days.

Feuds with him don't mean much these days, Bray lost a shed of momentum when he for reasons unknown lost to him last year.

Jericho has become everything he hated when he was trying to breakthrough the glass ceiling!
