Ray will be joined in studio by Independent Alliance co-founder Shane Ross TD to get his take on what's going on and what's going to happen with the government.

Brenda Blethyn, best known for movies including Secrets and Lies, Atonement and Pride and Prejudice will swing by to talk about her life and career to date as well as her latest role in TV crime drama Vera.

Bonnie Ryan, daughter of the late Gerry Ryan, will talk to Ray and perform her new single 'I'm Out' while more music will come courtesy of US TV stars The Willis Family, who range in age from 5 to 24.

Finally, journalist and author Tom Hickey and campaigner Emily Savage will discuss life with a facial disfigurement.

The Ray D'Arcy Show, RTE One 9.35pm.

I'm out too. Nepotism strikes again. I am sure that this has been said many times before, Ray D'Arcy hasn't got the talent needed for community radio. How did that gobsh*te get on the television?

Woman with a beard last night, woman with a facial disfigurement tonight.

No sign of Mary Beard or Scarface, alas. Maybe next week.

How the hell does Bonnie Ryan initially get an appearance on LLS back in 2013, something most up and coming musicians could only dream about given the opportunity and meanwhile has done literally fook all with a "career" that seems to have spanned 9 years but then gets an additional free run on Rays show which is funded by the €160 a year TV licence?
Six years ago Bonnie performed as a support act to Westlife with her girl band Lady Nada at Dublin's Point Theatre, when she was just 14 years old.

Yeah it is very unfair that she gets TWO free pushes from RTE. It's not like her popularity or sales would justify having her on the show, these are two gifts from RTE cos of who your da was. She's a pretty girl, but her voice was nothing exceptional the last time I heard her. She has a tendency to miss some notes badly, which is surprising given that she has been in bands for her whole life.

I mean, when she was only fourteen, she was in a girl band Lady Nada that supported Westlife at a childline concert.

I think that's yer man Tabby Callaghan on the left. :pac:

    Wow. What a guest list.

I cannot think of a single question I'd like to hear any of those people answer.

    Oh, wait, there is one.

"How glad are you that you didn't get stung with the name Lottie?"

This question is for Shane Ross, obviously.

Okay, I'm gonna put my reputation on the line here and guess that at least four of Ray's questions to Lottie will include the phrase "yur daa".

    Anybody higher or lower.

Poor auld William Shakespeare's no longer with us either, tis his anniversary today. Died on his Birthday.

As he wrote in The Tempest "Misery aquaints a fellow with strange Bedfellows"

Food for thought for Messers Darcy and Tubridy, perhaps.

As watch'd the Ray D'Arcy Show, he was oft heard to quip "'Sblood, this is awful horsesh*t!"

    Edit:

"Is this a relentless cringefest I see before me?"

On the eve of the centenary of the proclamation of a republic , it really is tragic listening to shane ross talking about the pathetic efforts of those self serving wasters 'negotiating ' on the next government.

I got some "Black Beer" in Lidl.

I'm outraged, the politically correct term is "African American Beer".

Ray pictures himself as a Jeremy Paxman hard hitting knowledgeable interviewer, he has the depth of a saucer of milk and the only questions he asks are about sensationalist articles he skims in the paper
