Leaving Cert georgraphy field study word count?

    I'm just finishing my project off for geography and I'm about 130 words over the 1,000 word count. Are the examiners strict on word count? I'm 100 words over on my conclusion part. Also do you count the small words such as, and or as? Some people in my class are counting them in and some aren't. If that's the case that would really lower it down a fair bit.
