TV blurring then clearing

I've a Toshiba 50L4333 TV which started yesterday to do a weird blurry thing where it looks as if the picture shifts a little bit but also leaves an image behind (is this ghosting?). It happens regardless of what input is attached to the set so it's definitely a TV issue. It cycles through blurred and clear with about a 2 second frequency - 2 sec clear, then 2 sec blurred.

    Any ideas?

Toshiba sets are rubbish these days but I would blame that blur on Sky.

What connection is the Sky Box attached to ? You say "It happens regardless of what input is attached to the set", what other sources have you tried ? If it's happening with other sources then it has to be the TV I guess. Are all the sources HD ?

It reminds me of interlacing on old CRT type TVs.
