It's gonna be a good one this year, I can feel it!

So far I like Lateysha and Jason ......... can't stand Alex, Andy, Laura (even though she's hot as f*ck!!) or Marco .......... the rest are all "take it or leave" for me right now.

The Others are all d1ckheads so far.

I'm sure I'll change my mind after every episode though!

Awful housemates this year, really are getting worse every year.

Is that really what gets viewers these days, Geordie Shore, Towie, Ex on the beach, model/actor, vain, brain dead tossers.

What happened to having interesting varied people of different age groups. Not wannabe celeb clones who won't have anything remotely interesting to talk about.

I'll stick with it for a while as I know the VTs usually make them all come across worse than they are but I really think this season is going to be poor.

Absolute car crash tv in parts tonight. The others completely f****d up their bit. Can people actually be that thick?

Most of them came across as loud self centred arses. The twins better be on their way out fairly lively. So unbelievably fake.

I like a few of the people though.

We were looking forward to "Normal BB". Not going to happen! Let's call it what it is "Abnormal BB".

There will just be summaries of one hour or an hour and a half hours of what goes on, each day. Sunday will be a summarized repeat of the previous week - which leaves plenty of time for them all to get on each others' nerves.

There'll be plenty of sitting our in the smoking area bitching.

How are the "Others" going to pass all of that time in confinement in a very dull place?

The whole thing is ridiculous, this year. Long gone are the days when Normal BB was a mix of ordinary, decent people of different age-groups and interests. Never again are we going to see the likes of Anna Nolan, Craig Phillips and even "Nasty Nick. Those were the innocent, naive days. I always enjoy seeing Anna or Craig reappearing on TV as presenters.

Notice very few of these new HM's were linked to any type of profession or employment, which leads me to think the majority are unemployed (unemployable?) time wasters, with an eye on fame.

Fair play to Emma! She put in a marathon performance.

The gay guy (not the Irish guy) Ryan from the Others house, I knew I recognized him. He was the drunk guy from xfactor boot camp stage last year.

Predictably painful start with -Z listers who didn't even audition but were hand picked. Forwarded through it in 20 minutes and it still felt too long. Our only hope is that Jason is like his namesake and he kicks the crap out of the worst of them.

Ch5 finally do something half interesting with the second house yet still manage to screw it up. Forwarded through Emma's bits but caught a couple of interviews and they were as cringe and awkward as ever.

Auditions sadly seem a long time ago. Certainly pre Channel 5 taking over. This lot all already have their own agents and everything. I'd say I'll last 2 weeks forwarding through it and be out then.

None of these are proper celebrities, but you'd think the likes of Marco, lateysha and Alex would be on celebrity big brother as they have showbiz links and have been around before. They let Jeremy on CBB and all he did was an mtv show.

What happened to the days where you recognised nobody and they were all strangers to each other?

A stupid, vapid bunch this year, with only one or two exceptions. I've never seen a group of people who lacked so much substance before. I'm with you guys; a group of Z list wannabes who actually know each other does not an interested Jaxxy make.

I'd be really happy to be proved wrong, but I can straight up say that I can't abide by mass stupidity. It's amusing as all hell in small doses, but I don't want to watch 15+ useless idiots talking about bottle service, their fellow Z-lister pals and surgical enhancements for eight weeks.

The fact these are all "professional reality tv folk" already increases the likelihood of every semi interesting occurrence in there actually being completely scripted. They are being paid to play the game. It also removes the unknown factor for the producers, which was the best part for us. All these pr!cks are programmed. I doubt I'll even last 2 weeks. And that's including forwarding through it. W>NKERS!

Opening night has had time to sink in and I've had a chance to think about it.
Like many others I was expecting normal people and not a load of Z listers, but then I remembered a lot of the time normal people go in to the house and are dull as dishwater. Chloe from last year is case in point.
I think CH5 saw the reaction a guy like Marc got and thought "hey that works, why not hand pick them all specifically looking for minor Z list wannabees who will add that kind of drama, throw in a few pointless twists and we're on to a winner"

Actually though, I'm thinking this could be so bad it's good. It has the potential to be great car crash TV, I remain hopeful.
