Will chaos follow the Roman Empire to Raw?

Post Raw Mania, hopefully it'll be somewhat better than last night's middle of the road Wrestlemania 32, expect the smark fans to run amok tonight, oh and the crowd absolutely ****ting on Roman Reigns, here's what to expect...

    1. What does the future hold for Raw?

    2. Who’s coming after the all-new WWE Women’s Championship?

    3. John Cena returning to Raw?

    4. How does Ambrose come back from the carnage?

    5. How long can WrestleMania’s Cinderella Man make the moment last?

I'd like to see a crowd walkout if people are truly passionate about the current state of the product and not just in it for themselves, booing/chanting is done every year now to the point where it's like a tradition, and the commentators will say as much, JBL will laugh it off, Cole will say thats the great thing about the WWE Universe blah blah, just like they did with Cena chants, they'll have their excuses ready and later the crowd will be dubbed.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 48,990 ✭✭✭✭Lithium93_

People won't walk out, you've pretty much summed up Raw tonight in 3 sentences.

A walkout would be brilliant but people won't do it after the money they've spent getting there I'd love it if the crowd turn their back to the ring. Imagine the sight of 10,000+ people faced the otherway around. Good luck piping in cheers then.

It was raised in the Fallout thread, and i'll repeat it here, it's those who went over after all that saving, and last night was the best WWE could freaking offer, that I really feel were screwed..

And I also stand by what I said in the live thread, NXT Takeover Dallas > Wrestlemania 32..

    A walkout? Come on.

People aren't going to spend their hard-earned money to go to a wrestling show and then walk out.

That crowd willl have fun tonight, as with every post-Mania Raw and they're going to absolutely slaughter Reigns and Vince, if he shows his face.

What are the odds on Reigns being attacked backstage and never showing up in front of the crowd?

Liverpool fans walked out in the 77th minute of a game this year. It sends a proper message that you are dedicated, you want to stay but won't take much more. Staying there and booing while handing over your money just shows you will continue to watch no matter what. People have being booing and chanting against Super Cena for almost a decade, and now we are now getting Super Cena 2.0 and the product is going down the ****ter.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,689 ✭✭✭sky88

There going to put poor Roman out there to kick off raw it aren't they.

I think the walkout will never happen most have traveled thousands of miles too see this. Something like turning there back if they put on same old crap could be good.

  • Moderators, Society & Culture Moderators Posts: 12,853 Mod ✭✭✭✭riffmongous

You can still get value for your money with a walkout if you leave it till near the end like Liverpool (although there was also some symbolism there), people turning their backs would also be good, anything more than just booing and chanting on the product because we see that every year and nothing happens. Why do people keep going back if it's just to boo?

    Alright, hear me out...

Reigns comes out to a cacophony of boos. He starts his typical promo "Been a long road yadda yadda yadda...."

Then he says, "I've put up with a lot of abuse from The Authority over the last few months........and from you people."

He then points to announce table and says how six weeks ago, he was left in a pool of blood there by HHH and all he heard while drifting in and out conciousness was fans chanting "One more time. One more time. One more time." He says that was when he stopped giving a damn about what you people think (He also started coming down the ramp for his entrance after that, so it kinda fits).

He then says something like "You people don't have to like me as champion, you don't have to accept it....but you better get used to it."

Now for some cheap heat, Rollins' music hits....and plays for about 20 seconds before the camera comes back to Reigns laughing.

"What? You actually thought he was coming back? Nah, he's still half-crippled."

    BOOOO.

And if you want to start a title feud, have Cena come out and do his usual spiel about how the fans are amazing.

You're welcome, WWE. I just made Reigns a star.

Nah, he'll still be a terrible wrestler that no one cares about.

People aren't annoyed that he is a face, they are annoyed that he is in the company in the first place.

If we've learned anything from WWE, you keep trying for 2+ years and then when it doesn't work you just overdub the crowd and ignore logical booking.

I don't think that's the case to be honest. He was pretty popular as part of The Shield but everyone got sick of him being shoved down their throats as some kind of superman once they split.

That's not true. People are annoyed that he has been shoved down our throats constantly. I would have no problem if they allowed him to build naturally over the course of the last 2 years, give him a mouthpiece and just let him run over everyone he wants.

and those are the highlights of this thread so far (whaddya mean edited) I wonder how those damned authority will try and hold back the powerhouse Roman Reigns on Raw now!

Tonight if nothing else really needs to be the end of these underdog hero vs evil authority storylines that WWE can't seem to get themselves away from.

I don't care if it's Braun Strowman or Ryback (it probably will be) as long as they're fighting for their own reasons, rather than the latest Authority henchman who never gets over on their own right.

I would love a Reigns turn to happen tonight. I think either he or Ambrose may turn this evening.

I'm excited about what's in store and hoping for a big change in direction as far as their main event stories. I also have my fingers crossed for a Samoa Joe or Finn Balor debut.

As much as I would love to see Joe and Finn move up to the big stage, I'm filled with dread over how badly the WWE writers/Vince, would just crap on them from a height.

They'll have Joe come out in a grass skirt with a ukulele and have him job to Ryback.

Finn will be retooled as a Michael Flatley rip off who Irish dances his way to the ring (an Irish fandango basically) before jobbing to one of the League of Nations, doesn't matter which one because the only move they'll do on Balor is their finisher just as he enters the ring.

Anyone who ventures into the wrestling sub-reddit will know of Falcon Arrow, who knows things (some think its a wrestler, some think its a writer, some think its a social media campaign and WWE are working the net). He's got some big things right ahead of time and proven his credibility.

Anyway, he's teasing a few surprises and returns tonight. He also said (Major spoilers here...)
However I think this sub will be disappointed in one return that causes a title change tonight. Who knows though, I really like it though.

    I kind of guessed that
Ryder's run will be short lived
in the Mania aftermath thread. Be interesting to see who is involved though.

    Angry Chris Jericho is angry
AJ Styles is like Bull Buchanan, D'Lo Brown, and Muhammad Hassan. All these guys were supposed to be the next big thing and were gone from the company within 6 months

Surely setting up a final match between them.

I'm not certain if people will think this is a spoiler, but I'll tag it just in case, it's Undertaker related (nothing to do with his status for Raw tonight):
Read that he's been telling people backstage at Mania/Raw (never said which) that he wrestled his last match last night. Really hope this is BS, I thought he had another two years left in him tbh.

Cant see it. He's looked so much healthier in the last couple of years. I reckon he has one more match in him and it'll be against Cena
