Page 177 of the fundamental applied maths book, question 3.

"A tank contains a layer of water and a layer of oil of relative density 3/4 is totally immersed with a quarter of its length in water and three quarters in oil. The rod rests in equilibrium, being kept in an inclined position by means of two verticle strings attached to the ends of the rod and to the bottom of the tank. Find the tension in each string in terms of W, the weight of the rod."

    Answers are 31W/240 and 103W/240

    Thanks.

How does this chapter compare to the others? Haven't tried it but maybe it wouldn't hurt as an option.

It is sooo easy, especially if you do physics.
I taught it to my self as an extra question, would recommend trying it.
