CAO personal details corrected?

I registered with the CAO and somehow managed to put my name as (last name) (first name). To correct this, it says to contact the CAO in writing. Does "in writing" include email?

I wouldn't chance it. A registered letter will make sure to be sure. Not worth chancing it.
