According to Peter Young in this weeks Farmers Journal only problem cases remain. This is in total contrast to what people on this site have experienced. He obviously didn't read the Macra page last week.

Couldn't agree more between this and the teagasc group on Facebook there seems to be a lot more people waiting than what they are reporting.

According to Agriland the Dept stated on 3rd March that 90% or 8,500 of applications have been processed. How come a month later the remaining 10% haven't been sorted?

Forgive me if I don't believe what the department have released to the press in a statement. Judging by the amount of people complaining that they haven't been paid I'd say closer to 25% of applicants haven't been paid.

Money in account today, BPS only though. NR and YFS showing in amounts due on agfood so that should be in any day now.

I rent land and was asked in October to provide evidence. They asked again a few weeks later even though it was already uploaded to Agfood. They have since confirmed that they don't require any further information. Mine is not a "problem case" and never was.

It's a complete disgrace at this stage. I'm supposed to buy cattle in the next few weeks and need this payment.

What is the phone number to ring to check on progress of YFS?

    Thanks.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 566 ✭✭✭el_gaucho

    Number is 0761 064 446.

As I feared, payment has not been made because they need evidence of land lease. Evidence I sent them six months ago.

Do you need to show a written agreement for con acre or is if just leased land that needs it do you know

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 566 ✭✭✭el_gaucho

For me it was just the leased land.

Yes they looked for copy of lease for land . This was sent immediately last October. When we rang two weeks ago they were looking for it again even though it was up on Ag page that it was received. Going to ring again tomorrows

I applied as a partnership. Was always getting paid a wage by my dad from the farm. Was told by one of the staff that my income will be classified as off farm income and when added to my parents off farm income goes over the 40k threshold so they are going to catch me that way. Disgusted.

When I applied the rules were different, in a partnership only the young farmers income was to be counted, not all partners. I would have been fine but now I am not as a result of the rule change.

I don't know when they changed them. However I printed a hard copy when I applied and there are now extra conditions on the website list.

Really annoyed about it. I wonder if anyone else in the same boat?

When I was in the middle of the green cert they cancelled the installation aid scheme... FFS

So your farm wages are classed as off-farm income?

I signed up last year as a new entrant. The deadline for starting the Green Cert was September 2016. I planned to wait till then because of other commitments. The deadline was brought forward to December '15 at three weeks notice. I'm curious to know if many people missed out because of this.

That's the rubbish they are coming up with. And it's very clear that my income was from the farm as it was set up as a direct debit from my dads farm account.

And myself and dad are really farming together as he owns 3/4 of the land and I own 1/4
