Did you have tax and insurance on the day just not displayed, I presume your getting a court summons. If you had them just not desplayed try contacting the Garda. I doubt very much they've forgotten.

Insurance would be the issue, no insurance company will back date insurance cover . But some give a grace period... any way main issue is the gardai not contacting... sit and wait..did they ask you to bring documents to the station ??

if your insurance was out when you were stopped you will more than likely be done for that.

Either way, I wouldn't worry about the summons, I'd say they've forgotten all about it. Sure its only tax and insurance
