intense body weight exercises before sprinting?

    The title is the question my daughters coach gaelic football, is doing 20-30 minutes of body weight exercises including one leg squats press ups lunges core work etc before a session including an hour of football drills onm the move and then finishing with sprints and shuttles at the end....a number of players have injured hamstrings and my daughter is complaining of hers being very tight? is there any link to the ordering of the session or any thoughts?
