I do strength training to aid my running and prevent injuries. I probably should get a PT but until I'm willing to part with the money i'm just going to ask here.

    1. Due to lack of mobility I squat with a VERY wide stance. That allows me to go below parallel. But it breaks my heart watching people do a perfect deep squat shoulder width apart. Am I missing out by not being able to do that? Will the squats be equally as effective for my running and injury prevention?

    2. Deadlift. I recently added the deadlift to my routine, I can feel a pinch around my hip on the left side while deadlifting. I'm pretty sure it's not my clothes! My stance isnt as wide doing this as the weight keeps me from falling over, maybe that's related. It's very annoying, any suggestions welcome. I will be trying again tomorrow :o

You may be causing yourself injury doing the main lifts without the required mobility.. You should be willing to part with the money.
