I was surprised when I saw all the mentions of it on Facebook!
It has been disgustingly heavy here all day. I'm a fan of the heat but this is just grubby! It's beginning to rain now.

Daughter was in Glenamaddy Co Galway this morning said she never heard such loud thunder and brilliantly bright lightning

I just read on the weather forecast that there is a risk of thunder next Tuesday night.

I see that, the West being mentioned . Looks like a convergence zone between warm and cool airs, looks like producing a shot of rain also after a fairly warm day.

It's friday and still a weekend to get through with a lot of chopping and changing in the models between now and tuesday evening. Relax, I wouldn't pay any attention to them until at least monday afternoon.

Still a chance of thunderstorm activity through isolated western areas Tuesday evening/night, of zero interest to most people obviously at this stage.
