    Met Eireann will issue an orange warning for tomorrow for thunderstorms with in excess of 50mm in some places with local flooding possible.

    Convective weather have a forecast out too. Slim pickings really the nw to benefit is anything. There is a risk of some imports if things get going in wales.

    RTE radio sport coverage of the hurling in Mullingar mentioned a big thunderstorm around 3.15 ahead of throw-in.

    Quite a few lightning strikes for the past while west of Cavan and hefty showers.

    A real humdinger went through Leitrim not too long ago. Radar was very impressive

    I really could do with a bit of a downpour to fill my water tanks here, am watching a "blob" on radar just south of Carrick on Shannon which looks heavy and is hopefully in line with me, I hope it lasts.
