Had a glorious day in new forest golf club. Not even a drop of rain, let alone thunder. Almost beautiful sunshine from start to finish. 30 miles away in Kildare they got the kitt shicked out of them

    Funny that

Heavy hail here in West Clare, massive balls of it. 8.4c. No thunder.

Thought these showers were to die out!

... France, UK, Ireland and Scotland ...

Scattered to widespread diurnal driven DMC occurs beneath the base of the upper trough. 400-800 J/kg SBCAPE and 10-15 m/s DLS (especially along the periphery of the trough) support strong thunderstorms with marginal hail and gusty winds. An isolated large hail event is possible and also an isolated tornado/funnel event due to augmented LLCAPE. A general decrease in coverage and strength of thunderstorm activity is forecast during the night although isolated thunderstorms may occur over coastal or offshore areas.

Huge thunder & hail shower here in Wicklow Town.

    Lasting about 10 mins.
More hail than what fell here during the winter for sure.

had a sharp thunderstorm about an hour ago, alot of hail, flash and some fork lightning and downpours of rain. Electricity went just as the shower hit followed by the first bang of thunder. Electricity was gone for over an hour and just back on now.

Checked the radar on met.ie and shows a red dot (12-20mm per hour) over our general area at 3pm, not surprised!

The lightning flash captured here happened during a May 20 storm not far from the Florida Tech campus in Melbourne. It was recorded at 7,000 frames per second using a high-speed camera.

Net Zero means we are paying for the destruction of our economy and society in pursuit of an unachievable and pointless policy.
